   after a month long silence post our move out date, this “agency” tried their luck taking over half of our deposit without providing evidence or receipts. needless to say, a claim has been raised, and they suddenly ceased all interaction, thankfully resulting in us getting 100% of our deposit back. all bark and no bite. they clearly rely on people not knowing their rights and willingly giving up their money to these thieves. avoid avoid avoid

   avoid. these thieves attempted to steal half of our deposit by fabricating damages and wildly inflating costs - £550 for an end of tenancy clean despite their own check out report stating we had left the place is good, clean, tidy condition, £250 for repainting due to damage left by the tenant before us, makes you wonder how many times they've fleeced money from tenants and never done the work charged for. poor communication throughout, either slow or no response.

   My experience with Houseen is extremely negative. Communication was very rude and unprofessional. They didn't comply with the terms of the contract and tried to increase the price of the apartment by 200 pounds a month!!!! They often gave late or inadequate notice about viewings, sometimes arranging them without asking for our consent - and once no one even showed up. Now that we have moved out, they are refusing to return our deposit and are not responding to messages. Overall, I would strongly advise avoiding this agency - it's a scam

   Houseen have been renting out and managing my flat for 4 years now and I couldn't be happier with the service provided. The whole tenant find and end of tenancy process has always been seamless and easy and any issues have been resolved promptly and professionally. Exactly the hands off approach I wanted as a Landlord. I've also just sold the flat through them and again the process was highly professional. Huge thanks to Ryan, Debbie and Esther for looking after my property. Highly recommended!

   I have rented my flat in Brighton for 3 years now with Houseen and could not be happier. Their systems are excellent and the staff top notch - Debbie is a tireless manager and knows the market very well. I looked though other reviews and they all seem to be 5 star apart from a very few 1 star reviews. I have to say I do not recognise any of the criticisms made by these 1 star reviewers. I enthusiastically recommend Houseen for Landlords and by extension for tenants as well.

   My girlfriend and I have been with Houseen for over 2 years now and have found them to be extremely helpful with any issues around our property and very trustworthy. Debbie has been brilliant at liaising with the landlord and is always quick to respond to queries, making us feel very supported and at ease which has been very reassuring as this is our first rented property. She’s a great asset to the team!
