It is with a heavy heart I can only give 2 star as the majority of my rental experience was great, however the stint they tried to pull of at the end of my tenancy was beyond acceptable and ruined the otherwise good impression I had from this agency. I noticed during my tenancy that many emails I sent were answered with a phone call which in hidnsight meant I had little evidence of conversations made, something I have since improved upon and now demand answers to be given in writing. Whilst this agency took a lot of pictures at the start of my tenancy they provided little to no support when the landlord attempted to withhold a large chunk of my deposit at the end of my tenancy as he claimed I damaged the kitchen flooring. This agency was well aware of the condition the property was in prior to me moving in, including the already damaged kitchen flooring, but provided no support in my defence. Thankfully, due to my own precise record keeping and despite the fact that many emails were answered with phone calls, I challenged this with the tenancy deposit scheme and was awareded 100% of my deposit back. What made me so upset was that this agency was well aware of the condition of the property when I moved in, never the less they still attempted to withthold my deposit at the end. This is very poor practise.
Purchase experience! Smooth Moves was fantastic! From start to finish Julia was so lovely, very help full. She made the whole transition very stress free, when I was in difficulties with arranging my mortgage I was able to just have chat with her, she took everything on board, didn’t feel rushed at all. Very poor experience , when finalising a rental told by agent landlord is OK with personal circumstances and asked to pay money and send papers only to do a complete U turn and retract it shortly after. Very poor communication and representation and in particular Julia, was incredibly rude over the phone and would then make excuses instead of returning my money promptly. Would avoid doing any business with them.

My husband and I have been renting through this estate agency for over two years. Taking on the property was "smooth" and efficient. Daniel, our agent was very professional, supportive and always delivered on his promise. We never had any major issues and all smaller issues have been always dealt with competently and in timely manner. We would definietly use their services in the future and highly reccommend them.
