I changed from a usual groomers to the groom room and it was the best decision ever, all of the staff here are lovely and nothing makes me happier when they spend a extra few moments giving my dog some love, I’m never left disappointed by the services and I continue to book my dog in each time she needs a groom, can not recommend them enough.
My dog Sidney has had a full groom at Oldbury groom room by Sophie, 3 times now and she has done a great job every time, definitely highly recommend. Sophie is very calm and caring towards Sidney, you can tell that she genuinely loves animals and she is so professional in her grooming skills, it was his 3rd groom yesterday and he looks great, so neat and tidy every time he's been groomed there by Sophie.
Unprofessional and Dangerous Grooming Service – Avoid at All Costs I am beyond furious with the unprofessionalism and negligence of The Groom Room Oldbury. My recent experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, leaving my beloved dog with a severe injury and a deep cut right under her eye. This was not just a minor nick—this was a cut so close to her eye that it nearly blinded her. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, instead of taking responsibility, they attempted to cover up their mistake by claiming it was a "scab" that was removed during the grooming. This is absolutely not true. Based on the location, the nature of the wound, and how it has continued to bleed, it is clear that the injury was caused by the clippers they used on her face. What’s worse is that the company didn’t even hesitate to take payment for this disastrous grooming session. They nearly blinded my dog, and yet they were quick to collect their fee! When I confronted them about the injury, they suggested canceling future bookings, as if that would solve the issue. The manager, Kate, was particularly unhelpful and seemed more interested in covering up the incident than addressing it. This kind of carelessness and lack of accountability is unacceptable. I trusted The Groom Room Oldbury with the safety of my dog, and they have not only failed in their duty of care but also tried to shift the blame rather than owning up to their mistake. If you love your pets, I strongly urge you to avoid this grooming service. The risk is simply too high.
I’ve been taking my dog here for the last couple of years and never had a problem until the my latest visit, spent £45 and they didn’t even bother to clip her nails, so disappointed.. I shall find somewhere else to take her
Been taking our cockapoo here since his first puppy groom. Always had a good experience until the last 3 times when our dog has come out looking like we did the cut ourselves. Asked why the change and the groomer Zara couldn’t answer. Discussed this with the groomer before leaving our dog for the cut this weekend to be called an hour later to say that she couldn’t finish the groom. Our dog has been left looking a right mess. Not convinced our dog couldn’t be finished he has never been a problem before seems to be a coincidence that I had asked questions and asked that my dog was not cut the same as a previous occasion. Our Poor dog - we love him dearly and won’t be taking him there again. Photos attached of a previous groom compared to the one on Sunday. Same dog same groomer Why the marked difference groom room? Trying to get too many dogs through so you are not willing to pay the dogs the attention they deserve.
Couldn’t recommend this place enough! Staff are super friendly making it a great positive experience for my dog. Would recommend to book way in advance as they do get pretty busy but its worth all the wait. My dog has never looked so handsome and smells amazing everytime. Thank you to the team for always taking care of my boy.
Professional and super friendly service my beautiful puppy came back relaxed happy and sleepy. I paid extra for spa services plus 50% off the entire groom package on app so was well worth it on voucher offer as I am pets at home VIP customer. Note you need to book in advance and pay a £15 deposit. Free parking in Oldbury retail park. Grooming takes about an hour so you have time for a coffee break or shopping. Will be returning back. Love how my little puppy smells!
Been going since she was a puppy and they're perfect there. They really care about your pets and treat them with lots of love and attention. Grooms are fabulous, always comes back looking show ready. Love the extras in the 3 for £6 like body butter and teeth cleaning. They trim her nails perfectly too. Doing well with covid protections too. I feel safe going into store. Highly recommend!
