I would like to thank Dr Akeel Bhamani for the care received. For his professionalism and taking things seriously. As it turned out all the steps he took were right and enable me to get the right treatment. I am greatly grateful for the care received. He is a wonderful Dr and have passion to help his patient. Thank you.

Can someone please tell me how do I start the complaint with this practice? What is the procedure like? I’ve had an extremely negative experience with this practice. I have been in significant pain for many months, and despite being told I would be referred to gynaecology, I still haven’t received any updates. There is no information in the app about the referral, no timeline, and no communication. I feel like I’ve been left to suffer without any clarity about what’s going on. When my husband called the practice asking about pain-relief options because I was struggling so badly, he was simply told to β€œgo to the pharmacy.” The over-the-counter options weren’t enough, and I ended up bedridden for days at a time, unable to sleep, and even fainting from the severity of the pain. On top of all of this, appointments are only available a month in advance, which is completely inadequate when someone is in daily pain and needs medical attention. Overall, I’ve felt ignored and unsupported during a genuinely distressing period. I hope the practice seriously reviews how they handle urgent symptoms, communication about referrals, and pain management, because patients deserve much better than this.

Fantastic GP practice, super efficient! The receptionist team are friendly and helpful! Dr Tahir is the best, incredibly knowledgeable, I am so grateful for his help! There are plenty of appointments at convenient times for people who work full time and you can chose your GP which is great! Couldn’t ask for a better practice and doctor!

I have a number of regular appointments at Leeds City Medical Practice and every time I am not disappointed. The reception staff are always polite and respectful and do try to resolve any issues you may encounter. Furthermore, the doctors and nurses are exceptionally professional and genuinely caring about your health and concerns. In particular Dr Amuzie, I cannot emphasise how much she truly understands and wants to get to the root causes of your issues. Dr Amuzie is a substantial practitioner and listens, which is very important to understand the patients.

Bit of a complex review, this one. The receptionists, doctors and other staff are very good at this practice, top notch, professionals. They have a robust online form system where responses are very quick (often within hours). Staff are very polite and helpful. The only issue is that the wait times are extremely poor. I have never been able to get an appointment with a GP earlier than a month from when I contact them. Often the earliest available appointments are 40-60 days away. This makes contacting them with acute (non emergency) issues a big problem. Their slowness can became a big problem for these issues. I had a breathing issue that was urgent and acute but not an emergency. Was not able to get an appointment earlier than a month, no matter how many times I called them. Called 111 one morning and they said this GP would give me an urgent call at 5 PM the same day. I never received a call. I had to wait another ten days in increasingly worsening pain and breathing difficulty till I had to go to A&E. Only then was I referred to an ENT specialist.

My partner suffered a stroke over the weekend and needs an urgent GP appointment as highlighted in a letter and email sent to the doctor's here The stroke is being linked to medication wrongly prescribed The receptionist won't listen and will not book an appointment and says that the practice is shutting half day today What other evidence do they need to book an urgent appointment here ?????? Would give a zero star but not possible

We all know that GP service is shyt but this one is totally useless. I’ve waiting 1 month to book for a blood test and this week I’ve called to know the results and the results were: β€œ everything is fine” what does it mean???? I booked to know about my intolerance, check my vitamin and to know my blood type. She said that if I wanted to speak with the doctor, the next availability would be on the 3rd of April … another month and half. EVERYTHING IS FINE EVERYONE.

I am utterly shocked by so many negative reviews truly. I have been with this surgery for 9 years and can not fault them. From the receptionist to the nurses and the doctors. I’ve always had the upmost care of the highest standard. From the minute I call a lovely warm friendly receptionist answers and does everything she can to help me. Yes it’s hard to get an appointment at times but that’s to do with cuts and the fact that beeston is over populated with only a few surgeries. The strain on Leeds city is massive if you think of all the many people that live in beeston and surrounding areas. I generally get an appointment though with my chosen doctor within a few weeks max. Once at the surgery it’s always clean tidy waters provided facilities are well kept and my wait is generally short. I can’t comment on all the doctors as I usually see same one but the doctors I have dealt with and nurses have ALWAYS been amazing warm friendly helpful supportive understanding patient kind caring professional and willing to go that extra mile to help and reassure me. I genuinely can not fault this practice and after hearing horror stories about other surgeries in beeston I know how lucky I am I been under such a outstanding surgery.

One of the worst. I try to get appointment for my daughters 2 days in the row. 50 times try to call them to make a place in the cue. And after 20min on hold they said they don't have any available appointments.... 8:32am in the morning... disappointed

Have always been friendly on the phone when I have called and supported me with accommodating appointments. Staff at the clinics I have visited have been pleasant and informative when I have had appointments. Nurses have been excellent with me ( as I've seen them the most) but I've also spoken to doctors on the phone for a quick emergency call and they were supportive with me. Would recommend.
