   Went for a Christmas party, the food was absolutely awful, stale bread with the starter, dry turkey, crunchy vegetables that tasted of vinegar, a pudding that claimed to be “salted caramel brownie” that was smothered in nuts. The staff were rude and acted like they didn’t want to be there, the woman who seemed to be in charge could have done with putting a smile on her face, everything seemed too much trouble. Not worth the money and won’t be returning. Ended up getting a takeaway on the way home

   we had a team of 11 people for the Xmas lunch menu. The food was really nice although we only had one gravy boat between us all & had to ask for another one, plus alot of us had ordered the Yuletide Choc & Fudge Log which was with vanilla ice-cream but it was served without. The service was very slow although we had pre-booked / pre-ordered as instructioned on the website. When paying for the bill they hadn't realised we had already paid £5 deposit, they also said the bill was more than the balance as there was more than 6 of us & stated that was on their website & then they charged us a service charge, which one of the staff also stated was on their website & menu but I cannot see either of these on the website. Overall the food was good but the service was very slow. Not sure if we will return.

   We recently held the wake for my late husband here. Jacqui was very obliging in helping to organize this for us. The food was nice and fresh and plenty for everyone. A really nice setting in the woods albeit a little hidden away if you don’t know where it is. I’ve also eaten lunch here but never been disappointed. Thank you.

   Went here recently for a meal with some family members and was very dissatisfied. The manager was very abrupt and rude to some member so staff. There was also a waitress, I think her name was kira? But not too sure, she was also very rude. Really ruined the atmosphere. Will not be going here again. Overpriced and bad service. Treat your staff members with more respect!

   Really disappointing. Vegetarian breakfast was so small and they do not allow any substitutions of items. It’s no wonder the place was absolutely dead - unhelpful staff !

   Not a bad place but the service at times is still very poor. Ordered coffee and food. Coffee provided in a takeaway cup and food served in a paper bag, neither served on a proper cup or plate. Terrible service. Not the first time noticed the service is poor.

   This restaurant is in a lovely setting in a small woodland copse down a small road, it is very peaceful here. The building is modern steel framed with high ceilings, huge picture windows and the tables afford great views of the woods. Everything internally is beautifully finished and high quality. There are interesting garden ornaments and many birds and squirrels.There is plenty of out door seating too. We went for mid week lunch and were greeted and seated very quickly. The food was very tasty and well presented, we ordered the beef stew. The downs were that it took us 10 minutes to get a waitresses attention as the 3 staff were busy, some cleaning and some chatting. The food was tasty but the veg were hard. I understand this is personal taste but for me it rather spoiled it. The beef was variable in the dish, some bits lovely and tender but 30% were tough. I had 2 large pieces of gristle that I had, in the end, to spit out. The Pepsi was flat, we did get a full refund for this though with no argument so just an observation. Would I recommend this place, absolutely, and I will go back. Just let down by a few small details and I suspect we were just a little unlucky. I believe there is also a meeting room and you can hire the entire venue for events. Parking was good.

   We came across this wonderful restaurant today while looking for a wedding venue. The setting is just lovely, we ate outside as it was a beautiful day. I ordered the salmon small plate and my husband ordered the Mongolian beef small plate and we shared a bowl of chunky chips. The salmon was the best I've ever eaten by far, beautifully light and delicate and a perfect size for me. The beef was also delicious. Wonderful service with very friendly staff. The price was also a surprise, for both meals and a coffee it was just under £16! We will definitely be regulars now we have found it!
