Awful customer service, my daughter got home after paying £180 in the shop and changed her mind about the trainers as they were slipping at the back. I emailed to ask if we could have a full refund as they were slipping and the shop didn’t have any size 6’s I explained the trainers were unworn and she needed them to fit perfectly as she has her Royal Navy physical. Their reply was rude and unhelpful and I wouId definitely not return to this shop. The trainers as I explained in the email were a birthday present and the email I got back was ‘Take it to trading standards’ Disgraceful customer service.

I went to Natterjacks in Southport to have a gait analysis. The owner (sorry I can't remember his name), was very knowledgeable and helpful. I am not a runner, but I have problems with my feet and the physio suggested that I go there and have the analysis. I had pains in my feet, ankles and knee so I needed help. The gait analysis showed that my feet needed arch support. After trying on a few trainers, I settled on a pair of Brooks. I have worn them daily, around the house, at the gym and going for walks. My feet are so much better, my ankles are no longer sore and my knee is improving. Great service and I would highly recommend.

Would not recommend. Visited both the Southport and Liverpool shops and had almost exactly the same experience in both. Very friendly young men who are keen to help, but appear not to really listen to what you are after and don't seem to have any expert advice to offer. In the end, I ordered online as they didn't have my size instore. I received no confirmation email, and no reply when I chased this by email after a few days. I called the Southport shop to politely enquire, and the guy was surprisingly and unnecessarily hostile, telling me he couldn't possibly help because the online business is separate, generally treating me like an idiot. Eventually he agreed to send an email to the online team and later that day I got an email telling me they don't have my size in stock, and would refund me. The refund came through just under two weeks later. It would be better if the website accurately reflected the stock they have in. This would have saved me a lot of bother. Ended up ordering from Nevisport, which was very straightforward. The two stars are for the friendly staff. Edit following owner's rude response: I've changed it to one star due to him lying about my motivations. If I was just sizing up, does he really think I would have gone to the effort of visiting the Liverpool shop, after the lad in the Soutport shop told me they had the shoe I was after there, and in my size?? Also, I actually spent £155 on shoes from their online shop, so it's pretty unbelievable to be accused of just being there to "size up". What a way to alienate any potential customers!

Rude customer service, refused a refund because I was accused of wearing the trainers outdoors. When the only time I'd tried them on was in store! (I have included image of souls of trainers) It states on the website you have 14 days for a refund, yes on further inspection it does specify 'website' purchases, but as a gesture of goodwill they could at least refund the item. If they are only going to offer a credit note I feel like this should be told at point of purchase, it's not exactly like they're too busy to not explain their refund and exchange policy. Surely customer rights is applicable?

Very poor service from a very rude man. I went in on 28/1/23 to look for some trainers. I advised the man serving in the shop that I was just looking today as I had asked for money for my birthday the following week and would be buying them then. He told me he didn’t go shopping without money to buy there and then and if I wasn’t buying today he wasn’t going to bother getting out any trainers to try on. I appreciate some customers waste shop owners time and then buy online but that was not my intention. I won’t be going back there again. How small businesses with rude unhelpful staff compete with large firms like Sports Direct is a mystery !

After great experience in the shop where they helped pick best running shoes I was very disappointed with after care. Came back after few month shoes faulty they don't help you with warranty don't send them back for you. I paid 140£ for them I think for that price at least they should send them out on warranty.

Bought a Pair of Brooks Trail Shoes for £120. Only Lasted approx 200mile/4months before the heel cushioning was ripped/trashed and totally unusable. Brooks state their shoes should be good for upto 500mile. Took them back and was given some of the worst customer service Ive ever had. Tried to say they looked battered when aside from the Heel there was no fault at all. Then had the cheek to complain that Trail shoes were Muddy??? Overpriced shop, awful after service, with the Type of knowledge and advice you'd get from a 5k Fun Runner. Go Elsewhere.

Came in for some advice on a recurring injury, was advised to have a gait analysis after which I purchased a pair of shoes based on the assessment. Shoes have been brilliant for me and happy to say I'm now injury free. Excellent service from the lad, who couldn't have been more helpful. Would recommend the store to anyone.

Avoid avoid avoid!! I bought a pair of trainers from here a couple of years ago. They had limited stock in my size in their Southport branch. Had the gait assessment on the treadmill to be told that my gait had changed since the last time I had it done, roughly a year previously. Not to worry I thought. I bought a pair of expensive trainers based on my new gait assessment. On the 3rd time of wearing these within a week of purchase, roughly 5km into a long run, I pulled up with a calf strain. I went back to the shop, to challenge them about my gait analysis conveniently changing to the only set of trainers they had in my size and they were awful. The male owner was rude, ignorant and completely incapable of understanding logic. I've never been back. Spend your money elsewhere folks. They don't deserve yours.
