Following a car accident I was helped by Ebin at the Bingley practice with my whiplash injuries. His expertise was spot on, he got me through the pain expertly and timely and out the other side. I cannot recommend him highly enough

From the very first phone call to book an appointment to the last of my recent physio sessions (for ageing knees!) I've really felt welcomed, looked after, and in very good hands. The initial diagnostic appointment was reassuring, but then the follow up sessions gave me really helpful exercises, tips, information and a bit of massage to both sort out the original knee pain/stiffness, and then to build up strength to resume all my normal activities. Very happy now and have already recommended True Physio Bingley to other ageing friends!

I had excruciating lower back pain and some muscular aches in my legs. Within 4 weeks, I was feeling perfect again! Amy was an ace physio therapist. She was really friendly and highly skilled in getting the job done. Was also really flexible in changing my plan around me throughout the course. Will definitely be going back for a checkup, even just to say hey!

My first visit to them with a painful left arm problem. Amy was determined to diagnose the cause and tried many approaches and offered a range of exercises that would help the pain. Whilst not fully back to being pain free after seeing Amy for a number of sessions I noticed a considerable reduction in pain. I would highly recommend a visit to them.

I am Clare, a 51-year-old exercise enthusiast. From 2004 onwards, hard and fast running was my passion. In 2014, after a year of personal bests and personal triumphs, a knee operation (microfracture surgery) severed my fervour. There then followed some ‘wilderness years’ as I struggled both physically & mentally to cope with my loss of fitness. I wasn’t entirely sedentary during that time but I truly missed running outdoors & the thrill of racing - I assumed that the newly patched-up knee would protest too much. In Nov 2018, in an effort to turn things around, I hit upon the idea of doing something really challenging. I entered an Iron-distance triathlon scheduled for July 2019. Yes, it would involve running but it wasn’t fast running. I therefore concluded that my knee would cope. More problematic for me though was the swimming. I hadn’t been near a swimming pool in years, I didn’t like swimming & I was petrified of open water. Not ideal. However, this is what made the challenge more appealing. By March 2019, I was regularly swimming over a mile in the pool, at least twice a week. As much as I loved my progress, I did notice that it was starting to take its toll on my body, in particular my neck and my shoulders. I was aching & stiff in both areas. Fearing that my ability to swim was being impaired, I went to see Jacqui at the Bingley Physiotherapy Practice. She immediately identified the source of the problem & set to work on not just easing the pain but also on loosening the tight areas. The benefits for me were twofold. Firstly, I ceased to have any pain. Secondly, the fact that my neck and shoulders were looser meant for a more efficient swimming stroke. By July 2019, I had hours of swimming training behind me. Some of it was in a swimming pool but from April onwards; a significant amount had been in the open water. Regular swimming sessions had enabled me to feel much more comfortable in open water. I was astonished to find that I actually preferred swimming in lakes to pool swimming. I was also amazed to discover that my knee had coped perfectly well with the hours of training I’d inflicted on it. On 6am on the 28.7.19 the hooter sounded for the start of the triathlon. With hours of training in the bank, with a neck & with shoulders that were loose & strong, I completed the open water 2.4-mile swim around 20 minutes short of the cut-off. I was thrilled and relieved. Sadly though, owing to ghastly weather conditions, the 112-mile bike ride was cancelled. I only discovered this as I got out of the water. An hour or so later, I set off on my quest to run the most pointless, the most rain-soaked & the most mentally draining marathon I'd ever run. After calling upon reserves I’d forgotten even existed, I crossed the finish line in just under 4 hours. To my astonishment, I was the recipient of a trophy – I’d finished third in my age category. The lesson learned - keep moving forward & who knows what might happen. I do however have unfinished business & have already entered the 2020 race! Realising that my knee operation hasn’t in fact ruined my running, 2019 has been a fantastic year. In August, I ran the Reykjavik Marathon in a time that has qualified me for the Boston Marathon in 2020. In Sept, I completed a half Iron-distance triathlon. However, the crowning glory of this year was my completion of the 100-mile Himalayan Stage Race that took place in Nov. This was 5 days of arduous running at altitude in the majesty of the Himalayas. It was nothing short of extraordinary and amazing. 2019 may not have been my fastest year in terms of running but that matters not. It has been the most memorable one. I am delighted that I brought myself out of stifling stagnation to rekindle my love of racing. I have achieved things that I thought were impossible. I have had a race experience in India that was so magical; my eyes fill with tears each time I think about it. My hearty thanks go to Jacqui, not just for her wonderful treatment on my neck and shoulders but for her unwavering support and encouragement
