We had been on a self-created cocktail tour before a show. This was stop 2. We found ourselves in an absolutely beautiful space, drinking the worst, most expensive cocktails weβd ever had in our lives (Β£18).

The setting is beautiful but worth noting that the more expensive set menu diners go up stairs and a la carte diners stay downstairs. However it is much better value and the food was delicious. I was a bit wary as it has to be pre ordered but it was cooked to perfection. The other bonus is you keep the table for the interval so Iβll do this every time now.

Laughably small portions of plates of food at eye watering prices! We ordered a plate of Citrus cured salmon at Β£25, and a plate of Tartare of Tuna at Β£24 - and they were tiny in size [see photos]. Since you have to pre-order, there was no way for us to get another or additional plate - and indeed all the 'plate' choices on the menu were like this. So we asked the waiter for some bread and a bowl of salad, but it felt like begging. Difficult to understand the reasoning for this - perhaps to encourage people to go to the more expensive restaurant?

I love the ROH but the food at this place is really letting them down. Very low quality food, the potato salad served with the smoked salmon was very old and tasted disgusting. The cheese plate totally devoid of any flavour with damp/hard crackers. I expected salad with my quiche, instead I got a plate of leftovers/factory floor sweepings (see photos), very old and totally inedible. I looked around and every table seemed to have been given a plate of this atrocious and frankly offensive βthingβ. What an absolute shame. I did not expect this at the ROH. Never again, Iβd rather go to McDonalds.

Nice venue, I imagine it must be great when full. I ordered the Plant Burger which was one of the worst vegan burgers I've ever had. I also had wedges which looked and tasted old. They were served to me in compostable 'plates' with tomato sauce sachets. At a place like this?!? The wine was good.

Lovely venue, amazing building, great shows, friendly and helpful staff, lovely champagne and or wine. Everybody i see who has never been there before always takes photos of the venue / building. If you want to impress somebody, this is the place to take them.

Such a beautiful place. But when you order an expensive wine and get it in dirty glasses? Already the second time. When mentioned , the waiter just gave clean ones afterwards without a word or apology. Ignored us completely. Very rude.
