Our 2nd visit & we absolutely loved it! Last visit was 10 years ago & we thought we would come for a couple of hours as we were staying in Camde which was walking distance from the Zoo. Ended up staying much longer as it was that good! Our kids are now 16 & 18 & they loved it. Highly recommend a visit!

I upgraded to an annual membership as you cannot do the zoo justice in just one visit. Well maintained enclosures with happy looking animals. Information and knowledgeable staff on hand everywhere and very pleased to interact with visitors. Breeding programs in evidence for the rare creatures too. Very educational for youngsters, although in all honesty I go during the week when less children are about. Favourite enclosures, Butterflies, Reptiles, tropical birds and rainforest. (Some of which are open enclosures so you are up close and personal with the animals) Restaurant available on site although I didn't love it. Gift shop good for a souvenir or two.

Disappointing. I'm not certain that some of the animals were there. I guess its possible that given the season they were sheltering inside. The lions did not look all that healthy, but they may be old. My memory of London zoo, when taking my children there, was of a much cleaner, newer more vibrant place. It was rather drab and I felt sorry for the animals. The gorrilas, lions and tigers especially I felt were in very confined spaces with little to amuse them. Everywhere looked rundown apart from the area across the bridge, Monkey Valley, which seemed to be a newer part of the zoo. The rest of the zoo should be a similar standard. Given the status of London as a major capital City, and tourist attraction, you would think that its zoo would be one of the best. It wasn't! I'd much rather visit a safari park where the animals have more freedom, look healthier and have more space to roam. A visit to the zoo should make for a nice day out, sadly I did not feel that this was the case or was good value for money. One other point worthy of mention is that the working staff and volunteers appeared to have far better food offerings from their staff restaurant then the paying punters.

Such an incredible zoo, we easily spent nearly all day here! It's spacious, modern, and has comfortable spaces to sit and enjoy some nature with shade. We loved seeing all the animals, many of which were very lively and easy to see. We especially loved seeing all the birds– they had such nice habitats and were exceedingly active, I think. Such a fun experience. I will say I found a lack of variety in the food offered, but that wasn't much of a bother.

I was impressed by how organized and informative the London Zoo is. I visited with students to do a conservation workshop, and the quality of learning was outstanding. The zoo was incredibly clean, and constructed with so much purpose and intentionality. I appreciated that many animals that require larger enclosures were not located at this property and instead out at Whipsnade, though I still found it a little jarring having a zoo in the middle of a city, with roads literally passing through the middle of it. However, we saw how much work was being done to provide support and care for the animals, and it was clear that they are intentional in all they are doing. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Why is smoking allowed inside the zoo? Most people clearly come here with kids. Additionally, the smoking area is stupidly placed right next to the outdoor table and chairs by the restaurant, so myself (pregnant) and child are forced to inhale whilst having lunch. People should absolutely not be allowed to smoke here.

This place is so good for all ages. Very well organised from parking to facilities inside. I have muscle problems and cannot walk for too long so my husband hired this scooter for me. I was so impressed with the Quilty of the scooter. Easy to drive up and down the ramps and the plus it never toppled even in the muddy, uneven grounds. Very impressed. Lots of children's area to sit and eat as well as see them enjoy freely. Very safe where the animals are for the little kids. Very helpful staff as well. A must place to visit for all the family. We really had a good time. Well worth it. You can also hire child buggy if you forget to bring your own.

Very nice zoo. I'm enjoyed my last visit. But need come from morning to see all animals. Territory so big, a lot of areas to see. Great attraction for children's to see. Highly recommended.
