The Floating Pocket Park in London is a refreshing little gem tucked away in Paddington Basin. Built on a series of pontoons, it creates a green oasis right on the water, offering city dwellers and visitors a tranquil place to pause. While small in size, the park feels innovative and unique β blending nature with urban design in a way that makes you forget youβre in the heart of the capital. The landscaping is thoughtful, with lush planting, seating areas, and spaces that encourage both relaxation and social gatherings. Itβs particularly pleasant in the warmer months, when the greenery is at its best and the water shimmers around you. For those exploring the Paddington area, itβs an unexpected spot to enjoy a quiet break, take photos, or simply watch life unfold along the canal. Overall, the Floating Pocket Park is not a major attraction but rather a charming stop that showcases Londonβs creativity in reimagining urban spaces. Itβs well worth a visit if youβre nearby and looking for a calm and picturesque corner in the city.

Very nice atmosphere, lovely spot for a sunny day! Close to Paddington station and little Venice so a great starting point for a nice stroll next to the canal.

Part of Paddington Basin. Nicely redeveloped area. Obviously small children need watching because of the water. Part of Merchant Square. CafΓ©s including Greggs and PizzaExpress plus more upmarket food nearby.

Love this wee oasis at the top of Edgware Road - what a great idea - places to sit by the water - floating pontoon gardens, beautifully laid out with benches. And lots of eateries too, from Greggs and Pizza Express to more upscale cocktail Venues (might check one out before I leave!) Sun is out too - whatβs not to love about this?

We absolutely loved it at Floating Pocket Park. We didnβt even realise it was the other side of Paddington Station. We enjoyed it so much that we have booked to stay at The Boathouse in a couple of months at the FPP. We may also do a spot of paddle yoga whilst visiting again - it was so lovely watching everyone when we visited.

Cute floating park, lots of ducks swimming around you, even saw ducklings when I was there last week.

Great place to chill AND itβs in busy west London! Behind the Hilton Hotel hidden away under the archway by Carphone Warehouse opens up a door to freedom from the busy city life. Great places to eat indoors and out are RIGHT here! A nice free boat taxi ride is available here too. Walk a few hundred yards/metres and there is a canoe boat hire, street food, co-op, fitness gym, new apartment developments, post office, did I say street food already? To top it off you get to listen to the traffic -no, fountains of water. You may be tempted to get a job in this area, like so many do! Itβs amazing! Merchant Square is the place to be! I wonder what itβs like at night? Only one way to find out....
