   Our dog is going back to boothwood tomorrow so it reminded me to write my review! Our dog has a few issues with anxiety, reactivity and separation anxiety, meaning leaving him anywhere can be a bit of a task (to say the least). Boothwood have always been really good with him. Even when he destroyed a kennel roof, instead of banning him, they went out of their way to adapt a kennel specially for him!. Kirsty is lovely and remembers out dog and his needs as soon as she sees him. Really puts us at ease taking him here.

   1 dog and 2 cats boarded for 9 days in October 2025. All seemed to have had a good time and came back happy and healthy. I will use these boarding kennels the next time we are away. Very friendly owners and very helpful.

   My 2 dogs aged 10 and13 went to boothwood kennels, they have never been to kennels so I was a bit nervous. Jake is a bit nervous and Millie doesn’t like other dogs!! Absolutely no need to be nervous as they had a lovely time. Totally loved and looked after, looking at booking again for November. Thanks so much xx

   I have been boarding my two German Shepherds here since they were pups, sadly we lost one last year to cancer but we still take his brother who will be 10 years old this year. They are absolutely brilliant with him. We have moved out of the area but will continue to make the 2 hour journey for as long as he lives, because I have total peace of mind. If we get more doggies in the future, we would definitely use boothwood kennels.

   I’m really disappointed with my dog’s recent experience at Boothwood Kennels. I left my dog in their care for just over a week, but during that time, they took a couple of days to respond to my messages asking how she was doing. As a pet owner, it’s really concerning not to hear back when you’re trusting someone with your dog. To make matters worse, it was her first time in the kennels and we provided the kennels with a bag of her blankets and toys to help her feel more at ease during her stay (as advised on the phone and in person) However, when we went to pick her up, the bag was not returned. When we asked about her belongings, the staff had no knowledge of them, suggesting they may have never have given her the items meant to comfort her in the first place. It’s upsetting to think she could have been stressed or uncomfortable when there were things available that could have helped. I would have expected much better communication and care from a professional service, and I’ll definitely be looking elsewhere in the future.

   Excellent cattery and kennels run by Sally & Paul. Very friendly service. Cattery lovely with home touches, no hesitation leaving our cats there as they are well looked after.

   Just picked my dogs up today. So pleased! They weren’t keen on eating their usual dry food as possibly missing us so a bit off but sally made sure they ate and gave them some raw which no dog can resist! They’ve settled back in like they’ve never been away and they were also very keen on the staff when I picked them up which put my mind at rest. Ronnie and Daphne will definitely be back, Thankyou for looking after them so well xx

   We were instantly reassured Flint would be taken care of at Boothwood Kennels as Sally took her time to show us round and talk to us about his stay. On arrival the process was very professional and organised, causing no stress to us or Flint. On collection we could see how well Flint had been looked after by the lovely team! We would definitely recommend these kennels to any dog owner, Flint will definitely be back for his next holiday!
