I have used credit union now for over 20 years and they have always been great The staff are exellent. Iv only ever had good experience with them. It has been a fall back for me in tough times for a long time. Friendly and experienced they are always positive.
I find the team at Sheffield Credit Union a delight to deal with. When I need to contact them, no matter what method I use either by email or telephone they are really friendly & helpful, experienced knowledgeable staff who always helps me and my son with any query or transaction requests we have. I've been banking with the Halifax since I was 15 years old and use them for my wages and paying bills by direct debit but I would ONLY ever trust Sheffield Credit Union with my savings, I appreciate everything they do for me & my family.

Was offered a loan when I couldn't get one from my bank. I did think the interest was a little high compared to banks. The application was easy and quick. Repayments are taken straight from my wages so I know where I'm at each month.

Sheffield credit union is a trustworthy and really good peoples with great customers service .back in 2010 I was going through some hard times, in my life and I don't know what to do.or Who can help me I had absolutely no one else and the help me to build my life back bit by bit . So grateful x
It's a great service - it can offer you loans when no-one else will and it's a much better alternative to Cash Converters or Provident. Interest on loans can be as little as 14% APR. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have always responded to my requests promptly, sometimes within minutes of sending an e-mail. If you are on benefits and have been refused by the High Street Banks(who sometimes charge you to handle YOUR money), Credit Union is a much better alternative - they've helped me improve my credit score. I do not work there or have any affiliation - they helped me when no-one else would - thanks guys EDIT - 2021 I'm not sure if they have interest rates are even that high anymore. But still offer good service.
