They try the up sell scam but happy to sell a hamster with a cage half the size just 3 months before. And this month refused the sail because they was trying to up sell a cage. The staf should be ashamed. They lost a regular customer all because of greed.

Came in today to purchase fish. The lady that served us was so knowledgeable and very patient with me. Told me everything I needed to know and still said if I have anymore questions just give a call or pass in. Lovely lady her customer service was great !!!! Can't remember her name but she got me fish today X2 . Highly recommend this store.
Since the refurbishment, all the prices are more than at tesco and I found the staff very slow to serve. I used to shop here weekly but due to stock limitations (and price) I no longer use this store. That personal touch they had, has gone. But there is ample parking.
I am a first time gold fish owner and went to this establishment to obtain a water tank and filter pump filtration and also gravel toy's and fish food. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about my Pacific topic and very helpful with tips on owning my own fish and fish care and wellbeing. I personally bought a tank that came with a filter and gravel and some plastic plants for the tank including fish food for cold water fish. This is a good place for all things animals not just fish and the staff seem to be very caring and concerned about animals in general. There are four lanes full of all sorts of different animal needs foods toy's everything and then some. I recommend this shop it has everything for all animals. Parking is spacious and it is on a retail park so there are other shops that you can also visit whilst you are there such as Tesco,Mapplin,p.c currys and pound land amongst other shops.
Got my hamster from this Pets at Home store and he was a healthy little fellow. I've found the staff to be knowledgeable on the animals and fish that they have and have always been helpful and checked that you have the right setups before they allow you to buy an animal. They have a decent range of products but I think the cages for rodents let them down especially for the hamsters. I find them to be too small and I decided to source my own online. The toys, food and other products have always been a decent range however Staff are always super friendly when your their and seem to really enjoy their jobs which is nice to see.
