Treated the wife to a visit (from Portsmouth)!, and she was absolutely blown away by the sheer diversity of materials and accessories. Great experience being left alone to browse at your own pace. Much fabric cutting later we left for a well earned coffee. Many thanks for the experience and a happy wife.
I had ordered online from Oh Sew Crafty before and wasn't let down by the products delivered. They were good quality and very affordable. This time, I decided to do a Click and Collect. I waited awhile and didn't receive any notification to come collect my order. I emailed the company sales email and they were very quick to respond and very kind in sorting my situation! I went in and it was packed with a lot of choices in fabrics, though I didn't look around much as I was just coming in to grab my order. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was quite pleasant inside. It is quite quick paced there, though! Lots of workers trying to sort orders, though they are very kind and willing to help with your situation in the shop if you ask them for assistance. Overall, a very nice company online with quick email response and a very nice place to visit!
First time ordering fabric from here. It arrived within a few days which was great however when I opened the fabric it wasn't the correct one, so I called and left a message they called me the next day and clearly hadn't listened to my message as she couldn't tell me why I call just that I called. I then sent an email with a picture of fabric and the one I actually ordered and they, said yes that's not the correct one. Then I was told that even though its their mistake I will now have to wait to send it back then wait for it to be delivered back to them and checked before they will even send out the correct one. All for the sake of a £6 order. I only needed a half meter so not sure why they cant send out my order once they have confirmation from royal mail I had dropped off the old one at the very least. Now sat here waiting for my correct fabric to arrive, I've worked in customer service for years and I appreciate mistakes happen but you shouldn't be upsetting your customers further, especially for a £6 order. I appreciate if it was for a larger order but for such a small one. Seems crazy.
I ordered some fabric online as I found that the prices were good. Delivery took 4 days. Quality fabric although the colour seems slightly different than the pictures, but still good for the purpose. I give 4 stars as fabric arrived with two small stains on it and has an odd smell (like petrol).
If you need anything textiles, craft, fabric and everything else from materials to buttons this is the place to be. Staff are friendly, helpful and willing to get anything off a shelf that you can’t reach if you are hobbit sized :-). Nothing was too much trouble. The quality of all the merchandise is second to none. Top quality shop with top quality products and above all top quality staff. This is the place to be.
After placing an order it took them over a week to let me know that it was out of stock which was really bad because this material is for a wedding dress that needs to be finished by the beginning of April. Then when asked for my refund so I could get more material from elsewhere I was told the refund could take between 5/10 working days which is unacceptable as they took the money straight out of my account. I certainly won’t use them again until they update their customer service and make sure people’s orders are processed or told as soon as there is a problem. This is my livelihood which now reflects on myself.
I would describe this shop as a voyage of discovery. So many different fabrics with many rolls in crates, a large selection of wool and yarns, craft materials and so on. A place to explore rather than browse. Staff are always busy dealing with online orders but helpful when asked.
Visited today but it was a maze of material rolls and folded materials stacked so tightly together that they were impossible to see let alone chose a fabric. Unfortunately I didn't see a selection of curtain fabrics other than loosely woven hessian types but I was looking for more choice. The aisles are very tight and the materials have got out of hand, it needs a good tidy up. Prices were excellent. The haberdashery section was well displayed with loads of choice. All in all, a great place but not for me.
I've only ordered online but I was delighted with my purchase! I ordered 3 different weights of fusible interfacing and they were all excellent value for money. They seem to be exactly what I need from first appearance. I've not used them yet but I'm sure they'll work well. I was very happy with the speed at which they came and how they were packaged. I really liked they there was a warning they would come folded so I knew what to expect too, as you obviously can't iron the interfacing flat before using it. I will definitely be making future purchases and would love to visit the shop one day :).
If you ever want to get lost in a maze of fabric, wool and needles then this is the place to come, so there I was driving on the estate and thinking "this is not going to be fun" after parking and opening the warehouse door my eyes lit up, seeing rolls and rolls of 1000's of patterns at this point my wife went one way and I went the other looking for a suitable bit of fabric for our kids. At some point later we met up and then found a similar size area full of wool and needles, so this trip was turning out to be more of an adventure than getting a piece of fabric lol, so in a nut shell the place is massive inside with polite staff members and reasonably priced even if you don’t need to get anything this place is still worth a visit just for inspiration.
