Hunters Bar has been amazing with our reactive dog Cassie. She’s been in for tests, jabs, x-rays and more, and they are so good with her. They understand her issues and do everything to make her feel safe and comfortable whilst she’s there. We’re really impressed as it’s a very stressful situation for us all otherwise!

Dog was discharged after an op with a cannula still in his leg (discovered when we got home and removed bandage). Dreadful treatment of my dogs traumatic ear injury. Complaint taken 3 months and no responsibility taken, just a "you must have misunderstood" which being an ex veterinary nurse I certainly didn't. Moved to a much better vets and problem was rectified immediately. Only sad my dog suffered whilst I trusted this practice. Wouldn't trust them with a goldfish which, let's be honest, they'd charge £75 for the consultation for. Id avoid them if you love your pet.

Really surprised by some of the negative reviews. Can't rate the care we have had and continue to have from these vets highly enough. We had a 15 year old dog that unfortunately had to be put down during lockdown and the care and kindest we experienced was exceptional. We now have a new dog and the continuous care we have experienced with every single person we deal with every time we use them has been amazing, really recommended.

Had such an amazing first experience with Hunters Bar yesterday, such lovely staff who made me feel relaxed. Registered both my pets with them after such a great service for my oldest cat. Couldn’t be happier with how they treated her, you can tell that all the staff genuinely love and care so much for pets

Can fully recommend. Rose went out of her way to answer my questions over my dog Poppy. Caring, professional and knowledge. Brilliant in her role. Management, be sure to pass on the praise!

Gone down hill since a change in the management, used to be fantastic! My dog was diagnosed with stones, upsetting as only 1 and would mean changes in diet that I now had to navigate. Very unhelpful when I asked questions to try to understand his condition, I was accused of a lack of trust! Feel they like you to nod your head here and agree with everything they say, very much a my way or the highway attitude now. I was given confusing info... So a lot of my questions were to simply try and understand. e.g. I was told my dog had struvite and cystine stones and to feed him Hill's urinary diet, when looking to order the info on the Hills website said, don't feed to dog's with struvite stones, Hills recommended checking, the head vet then said keep on existing food till his lab results are in! Upon trying to navigate a new diet elsewhere due to lack of help through my own vet, I was told struvite and cystine stones don't exist in the same PH so unsure why he would have both, again all very confusing, so I find being accused of a lack of trust insulting considering the quality of the information I was given! The post op check with a trainee nurse (who was lovely) but had never seen my dog before, was the final nail in the coffin, no continuity of care, he was unaware of his medication, gave different information re being allowed out for walks, all again very confusing.

A fantastic veterinary clinic. I have used their services for nearly 11 years and they have always been faultless. The reception and nursing staff are always polite and so very helpful. Caroline Munroe and Mike Burke are fantastic here. They are clearly very knowledgable and offer great pragmatic advice.

Not worth the stress we had with this clinic. We had our cat there since 2016 and for the first few years the service was amazing. The doctors and nurses were very good and helpful but the administration is a joke! Accusations for unpaid treatments when was paid including letters from their lawyers! Lack of communication between the staff, our cat had a teeth problem and we had to remove some of her teeth. During the lockdown we were unable to contact the doctor directly so everything was passing through the nurse. No one told us that our cat needs an operation, finally after 6 months when she had an infection we were able to speak with the Doctor, and he was very surprised we didn’t get his informations before. That cause the problems with our insurance company as well. After a year we still didn’t get refund from insurance because no one from clinic contact with them. Finally we were unable to make appointment with our cat for check up because ‘doctor was busy but he will be in touch with us to make the appointment’. No one contacted with us and we had to change the vet. I don’t think he even got any information! Avoid that clinic if you don’t want to stress yourself.

We have been taking our cats here for three years and have always had a great service from Kristen, Mike and all the other staff. The reception are always friendly and easy to talk to. We've had some very difficult challenges with our cats over the years, especially when we first got them, but the vets have always been attentive and willing to listen. It really feels like one big friendly family.
