   Needed some forms witnessing by a solicitor, I had previously messaged other local solicitors and had no response, I messaged kevills through thier website late at night and the following morning I had a reply with an appointment for the same day.    We opted to use Kevills for our purchase/sale conveyancing on good faith after an excellent experience 3 years ago. How times have changed! We instructed them on Feb’2024 and were assigned 1 solicitor and since then have been moved between 4 solicitors and the senior partner, none of which have actually done any work on our case. Don’t take the partners word in good faith either, as after responding to our initial complaint and promising to do the work, he then proceeded to ignore all further emails and calls. They had our searches back for 3 months and did no work on these or share any findings with us. After 6 months they finally had the decency to contact us and explain they were going through ‘business changes’ and staffing issues, advising us to find a new solicitor. If you want a stress free move, avoid at all costs!!

   Very unprofessional lot. Received a purchase conveyancing quote from Kevills which I was happy with so gave instructions to proceed, which they acknowledged. Two weeks later I emailed requesting an update on progress, no response so I called a few days later and they said they'd get back to me. Later that day they called and told me they should not have given me a quote in the beginning as they were too busy and could no longer take my instruction. Over two weeks lost through their negligence. Avoid!

   I commissioned Kevills to undertake the conveyancing of a property I purchased (2022). The service provided was excellent, with their advice being wise and appropriate. Communication clear and timely often with emails being responded to in a matter of minutes, telephone calls return as promised and all relevant paperwork promptly dispatched by post. The fee charged for what is a professional service was also very fair and reasonable.    As far as solicitors go these guys are expensive. They took a really long time to sort out my Grandad's estate, but the thing that made me really annoyed happened when I was buying a house. I had been going through the stages of buying a house for 10 months, and at every corner whilst trying to buy this house I was hit with unexpected things. Finally I was ready to complete but I needed another copy for my proof of funds so I asked Kevills to email my conveyancers the proof of funds. They charged me £24 to send an email. This is completely extortionate. They know I needed the email and that I would have had to pay what ever they state to get it. They showed no humility and they showed no compassion for the fact buying this house had been so stressful for the past 10 months. They are a greedy horrible company.
