When Claire, my solicitor, met me on my hospital ward, I was very confused and fairly certain that I didn’t want or need anything. However, as soon as we had our first meeting after discharge, I knew that I was in safe hands. Without the excellent support I have had, my quality of life would be so different. The vestibular physio was key and I have really appreciated finding out more about my injuries and hospital experiences through the records and expert reports. It can be very lonely and scary after discharge as you are left to fend alone. It was so nice to have meetings with my case handler who would push to get me the help I needed now via interim treatments and just listen and support. All the people I came into contact with were professional and compassionate. I am very happy with my settlement which will take away my anxiety about future conditions developing and allow me to have some positive experiences after a really tough time.
