   I Wasnt actually asked to write this review but have gone out my way to do it. R&R were apointed by a mortgage lender for their side of things. I had a look at their reviews and was worried about some saying slow service ect but I just wanted to say Ammarah was fantastic. Very reliable and good comunication and got everything sorted swiftly once I had explained we were looking to get it done asap to complete on another auction property. Thank you

   Had dealings with them few times..these are by far the worse solicitors absolutely shocking how slow they are ..madr my life hell..dont even want to speak about the arrogance!! I would honestly suggest nobody use these guys

   A truly dismal experience. The service was consistently slow, reactive, and disorganised — exactly why conveyancing in this country has such a poor reputation. The original solicitor handling my sale frequently went on leave without notifying us, leaving us with no way to progress the transaction or even get basic updates. We were left in the dark repeatedly, and despite the file being with them for over six months, we faced more than a month of avoidable delays at the point of exchange. She eventually gave just two days' notice that she was leaving the firm entirely — and the transition to her replacement brought no improvement. The same delays, poor communication, and lack of urgency continued. Even after raising a complaint (which was partially upheld), nothing changed. I had to chase at every step and felt like I was pushing water uphill the whole way. It’s absolutely true — a solicitor can make or break a transaction. This firm very nearly broke mine. I chose them based on positive reviews, but in my experience, they were completely unfit for purpose. Avoid at all costs.

   Russell and Russell were without a doubt the worse solicitors I've used to re-mortgage, their communication was non existent and the mortgage was dragged out so long we had to request the lender to extend the offer despite me emailing the solicitors several times asking what else they needed. They left everything to the last second.

   I rang this firm recently to deal with a case transfer from another legal firm who were unable to continue representing me due to professional embarrassment. I explained the context of my case and asked Russell & Russell to consider it. I was told by one of their representatives, and it is unfortunate that I am not able to name them without evidence, had I have known their manner of professionalism was so poor, I would have protected myself by recording all interactions and naming them publicly so that other people may be aware of their poor work standards, however I was told by one of their representatives that they'd get back to me should any action be initiated on my behalf. The firm had actually initiated the process without informing me, without ensuring that I had not in fact changed my mind or decided to seek representation elsewhere. I was only made aware of the fact that they had initiated action yesterday when I was sent an email from them, conveniently just moments after ringing them to complain about their lack of communication. Had I have done a bit of homework, read a few Google reviews and noted their overall poor performance as depicted by their below average star rating, I would have saved my time and sought better, legitimately respected, professionally competent representatives elsewhere. I believe this firm exploits people who claim legal aid, I believe they have trouble in improving their attitudes and are a toxic organisation to become involved with. I believe they communicate just enough to cover their own backs and that unethical practice is their forte.

   As bad today as they where four years ago. After upholding my complaint at the time it appears they have still not improved. They were instructed by my mortgage lender. After making contact with them I requested a call back on Monday when they eventually picked the phone up when ringing (they usually don’t making dealing with your case impossible). I was promised a call back that never came. Rang throughout the day on Tuesday (no one picked up, same again on Wednesday. This is just a flavour of what your up against if you use them. Conveyancing takes months and months, and you constantly have to chace them for updates/to get things moving. They are honestly the worst conveyancing solicitors I have ever used. The lender has instructed a new solicitor thankfully who are reputable and trustworthy. Russel & Russel should not be practicing as they don’t act in your best interests. They just don’t care and only want your money. If I could give these guys zero stars I would. One star is being overly generous. Appalling service…

   First buyer review. Avoid this company at all costs !! The way they speak to you is disgusting. I’ve been chasing them for a week trying to give them my business had zero help with any forms or tasks they asked me to do. You will get zero contact back off them and dare you ask them why you have not had any contact back you will have your head bitten off. Glad I went with another company before giving them any money !
