   Peggy always enjoys her stays at Dunston Lodge, coming home her usual happy girl self, so it’s clear she’s comfortable there. Staff are super friendly, the owner is really nice too! They have gone above and beyond to accommodate my girl. The dog groomer Ashleigh is by a mile the best dog groomer Peggy has ever had! To hear Peggy has been well behaved for a groom is lovely! She looks great. We are always grateful for Dunston Lodge and their staff

   We love using Dunston Lodge for our two dogs. They always come home clean, happy and healthy. We have been using them for all our holidays over the past 4 years. The team are very accommodating with bookings and the drop off and collection times work really well. Our two must be happy as always go bounding in the door when we drop them off.

   Dunston Lodge were great. I had to find a short term stay for my dog at the last minute due to a funeral. Richard and his team were able to fit my dog in and were incredibly reassuring throughout the process as it was my dogs first time staying. He showed me the kennels and areas my dog would be staying and outlined the daily routines. My dog came back pampered, healthy and happy. Lovely spot and I'll visit again!

   Great place and great staff, I get sent photo updates while I'm away which is above and beyond any other kennels I've used in the past, My dog is a large breed 60kg dog which takes some feeding and always comes out of Dunston Lodge happy and spotlessly clean after a full groom which is included in the price. Wouldn't take mine anywhere else.

   I left my dog at Dunston Lodge in 2018 whilst I went on holiday. When I returned from holiday I was told that my dog had had a heart attack whilst on a walk and had died. When I left my dog at the kennels she was perfectly healthy and so this was a massive shock to me. The kennels did not contact me at any point to make me aware of this even though they were left with emergency contact numbers. The kennels still made us pay for her full booked time at the kennels even though she apparently died 1 week in. The kennels sent me to Sheffield to get my dogs ashes where I was told by the vets that I couldn’t have my dogs ashes because Dunston kennels had not paid any of their vet bills. It was a very traumatic experience from start to finish. I do not recommend Dunston Kennels and advise everyone to avoid at all costs.

   Our fox’s came out even though washed still wet and stinking of urine, the long haired we have had to wash three times to get the smell of urine from her but her feet, underbelly and tail are still stained as she is white/blonde colour. I was going to ring and complain but just didn’t want the hassle of the phone call as I know I would’ve got attitude back. I took my dogs in clean I expected them back the same and they are both very clingy I don’t even think they went out for walks.

   I would like to say thank you so much for taking such good care of our dog Daisy while we have been away for the last fortnight. She was so happy when we got her home and looked so clean after her bath before her return. Our previous kennels couldn’t accommodate us this time. You are now our first choice for future.
