   Having found myself in a very difficult situation re the lease information, unable to sell my flat.    Following a ridiculous wrongful defamation case against me, that lasted 3 years, Ian Carruthers successfully won my case at the High Court in London, reclaimed all my £240,000. He was extremely supportive, and professional at all times, Kept me up to date with on going matters and really helped me understand the very complicated legal procedures. My advice to anyone defending themselves, is to not cut corners and go for the best, thankfully the claimant had no idea the skill and experience my solicitor had, not only did he successfully defend, we received compensation and interest, a very fitting end to a totally ridiculous claim.

   My husband and I would highly recommend Carruthers Law, the firm which brought our libel case to a successful conclusion in the High Court in London. From the outset we liaised directly with Ian Carruthers, who helped us deal with an extremely distressing situation involving a tabloid "newspaper" (sic) which had published a very high profile, intrusive, yet completely libellous article about us. From the outset their lawyers unfortunately refused to apologise or withdraw the article which compounded matters. The impact on our family was significant, and this was only the start of what can only be described as an emotional roller coaster, however we felt compelled to act, and we are very glad we did so with Ian's assistance. There is no way we could have achieved what we did without his efforts, and this has ultimately enabled us to move on from a very difficult time. Ian has superb professional knowledge, attention to detail and an impressive network of contacts, plus the essential ingredient of pure grit. Whilst this is not an area of law in which matters can be resolved quickly, on a human level he was able to steer us through a lengthy and tricky process, whilst dealing professionally and compassionately with our worries and frustrations along the way.
