A proper pub. Just the right amount of quirkiness, an easy-going atmosphere and superb beer and cider at wallet friendly prices. A warm welcome from the lovely landlord, especially my grandson and his expectant mum who he gave a little gift to. All good stuff in a good pub that will always be a welcome stop for us.
Sometimes you just need to start a Sunday morning with a coffee and a crispy bacon sandwich and The Old Bank certainly delivers. Friendly staff, prime location to just sit outside watching the World go by. Highly recommended.
Great little cafe, food tasty and very reasonably priced. Staff member was very helpful and friendly, went above to accommodate my daughter’s dairy allergy. Recommend for simple no fuss meals.
I'm not entirely certain whether Derbyshire boasts the finest pubs and exceptional beer, or if I've simply struck lucky today. My word, the beer here is delightful! The staff are wonderfully friendly, and there's an incredibly relaxed atmosphere. It's a truly lovely place to unwind, relish quality beer, and feel genuinely welcomed.
Had the pleasure of calling in The Old Bank the other day with friends from our Walking Group. Made to feel at home straight away, lovely relaxing atmosphere and a great pint of Cask Ale before our Coach Journey home. Will definitely call in again next time we are in this lovely part of The Peak District. Cheers!
Called in for a fantastic breakfast ,very generous portions and staff were very helpful will be back to try the bed and breakfast as i can imagine the service will carry through from the excellent service we received in the cafe

I came in by my self on a Tuesday night and it was open mic night. Was busy but a really good and friendly atmosphere. The landlord was very friendly too. Good selection of drinks and reasonably priced. Will definitely pop back in next time I'm in Matlock!
