Called in as we were passing, all tables were taken but we were offered one if we could leave by 2pm, this gave us 1 hour and 40 minutes. Had a lovely feta and roasted butternut squash salad, well presented and plenty of it, thoroughly enjoyed. My husband had a lamb dinner which he enjoyed too. Recommend and we will return.
After a long wet walk across the hills arriving at this Inn was amazing! It is a beautiful appointed, spacious, yet cosy pub serving excellent food. Accomodation is similarly excellent. The rooms are very comfortable and decorated, furnished to a high standard, and are immaculately clean. A nice touch is being given fresh milk in a small thermos for your tea, rather than providing UHT in plastic pots. So much better! The location is perfect for walkers and cyclists.
Lovely tea time treat. Fab little find, very clean (just had to take a pic of the spotless loos…) The whole place was full of great bits of local history and nostalgia, great photos and quirky art. Lovely staff and nice food. Definitely worth a visit
Really enjoyed our meal here... it was busy due to it being a nice day for a walk. The staff behind the bar had a smile on their faces and were very polite, professional and efficient. Don't expect gourmet cuisine but honest, homemade pub grub... and really large portions!
Came for Sunday Lunch. Easily the best veggie burger I’ve ever had! The onion nest inside was to die for. That said, great options for both veggies and non-veggies with friendly service. Surrounding area is great and the inn is lovely inside, we were lucky to sit in the conservatory on a busy summer day. Had a delicious banoffee pie for dessert too! Would love to return.
Booking experience was good, spoke with a very polite and helpful lady. Check-in was straightforward with friendly welcoming staff. Our room was very well appointed (dog friendly), spotlessly clean and fresh. Fresh milk supplied in a chilled flask for our room rather that plastic pots of uht. Real coat-hangers too. Even a bed, towel and bowl was provided for our dog. We stayed for 3 nights, excellent choice of real ales and lovely home cooked food. The staff are very well trained and very conscientious of dietary requirements. Fantastic location, with plenty of good walking and cycling nearby. Could not fault our stay - highly recommend.
Lovely staff. Delicious coffee. Clean toilets. Nice bar/restaurant/room. During weekend it is bit busy but still it is worth to stop there. :) good location and small parking there too. We stopped there to grab a coffee and went on our way to the Win Hill :)
Great location for food after any walk around the local reservoirs or hills. A small but excellent menu. Staff are all friendly and efficient. We picked other things, but the pies seemed to be the favourite based on the number going past our table.
