A mixed review, the rooms themselves were really nice. Modern, a good sized TV and a really nice modern bathroom with a good shower. The quirky lighting was nice too. The downside? The sleep, both myself and a friend had a very bad nights sleep. The beds are very very firm and the pillows are just awful, sadly we didnβt bring any of our own (nor should you need to) and these were like bags of sand, just no support and really really uncomfortable. If it wasnβt for the beds + pillows it would be a 5* place. Check in was easy, although checkout at 10 is quite early the process was simple. Views from the room were nice too.

Our first time staying at Cheshire Mews and definitely not the last! We booked the Mam Tor room and it was absolutely spotless, equipped with everything you could need, the huge king size bed made for a solid nights sleep, the window view was wonderful and the bonus is thereβs convenient parking right out front. Itβs set back off the main road making for a quiet and comfortable stay. Dog friendly made it even more appealing. Checking in/out was super simple. Great location, thereβs a neat little coffee shop a few steps away thatβs open nice and early along with plenty of eateries around. Highly recommend - thank you! Trip typeHoliday Β· Family

We stayed at Cheshire Mews as a group of Mountain bikers, exploring the local area, the rooms were clean, modern and well kept. There was plenty of space & good parking. It was ideally situated for a selection of great pubs serving food & drink.

Went for a short visit.Located right in the centre of Castleton opposite the Cheshire cheese pub.Room only but you can get a discount off breakfast at the Cheshire cheese pub. Really nice clean modern rooms.Parking available. Very comfortable bed. Heating system works well, nicely warm in the room. Good walk-in shower. Fridge and television, kettle and basic drink items (coffee, tea, milk). Good communication from the owner. Great views. Prices was very reasonable. Would definitely stay again if visiting Castleton.

Lovely spacious room. Absolutely perfect for our 2 nights walking trip. Very clean and lovely big bed. Amazing location for walks from the doorstep and great restaurants. Would definitely return. The host was also very helpful with any questions I had. I hope to return again. Thank you.

Lovely area to stay with plenty of caves nearby. Would recommend. Good bits: the fridge, the price, netflix. Bad bits: temperature control takes a while to work out. Would of liked the full freeview channels but netflix made up for it. Had a few very short powercuts to room.

Stayed for 3 nights, the room was so cozy, with an amazing view and soft towels, pillows and duvets. Kettle and a variety of coffee/tea sachets (including decaf!) provided. Key was easy to access although locking the door may need some getting used to. Shower was reliable. Smart TV was a great addition too!

Perfect location with picture perfect views! Our en-suite room was spotlessly clean and massive bed was the softest, comfortablest, bed I've ever slept in! Key box process to check in and check out was really easy. Tea and coffee facilities included, but as we had a blistering bank holiday weekend, a small fridge would have been useful to keep our water/drinks cool.
