Great place for plane-spotting with the kids! We parked in Car Park 5 at Birmingham Airport and walked a few minutes to the official viewing area. There are benches, good run-way views of aircraft taking off and landing, and plenty of space for children to sit or move around. Ideal for a relaxed outing or picnic while you watch the action in the sky. As a tip: bring wind-proof clothing and check parking charges ahead of time. Overall a fun and easy-to-access spot for aviation fans of any age!"

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sheldon Country Park is a really lovely place to visit! It’s perfect for plane spotting – you can see everything up close and really hear the engines roaring, which is amazing. There’s also a small play area for the kids, a few animals to look at, and plenty of open space to enjoy. It has a bit of everything, making it a great spot for families or anyone who just wants a nice day out.

Absolutely incredible place to spot for aviation lovers. Great for departures out of 33 or arrivals into 15. Lots of open space so you can get a good view. Have experienced Sheldon both completely empty and full but you get a great view either way. Easy access, especially from Marston Green train station which is just a few minutes walk away.

Beautiful huge park, fantastic viewing area for Birmingham airport, literally at the end of the runway where the planes are taking off soaring just a few hundred feet above your head! There's a stream runs through the middle with an abundance of wildlife and at the far end a small children's farm, with pigs, cattle, donkeys and horses to name but a few. There's a children's play area, a tea room, selling lovely cakes, cookies, hot and cold food and drinks, ice creams etc Best of all parking is free, the farm is free too! We spent a lovely four hours wandering around but is definitely worth a day out to explore the wooded paths that lead off in all directions. Excellent!

This was a great impromptu day out, adequate parking, not as many animals as I expected though, but enough to keep a little one excited and entertained with the park and little nooks and crannies to explore. The park has lots of wild berries, and after asking permission I picked some and made elderberry syrup, which was a great post trip activity. Good toilet facilities, cafe/shop too.

Hadnt been before, but the place is huge. About a 15 min walk to the airport runway to see the planes taking off which was good. The Big double decker Emirates plane took off while we were there as the viewing area had load of people there to see it.. Farm area had animals for the kids to see and had fun on the playground.. They also have a cafe but we didnt go to it so cant comment on it. But overall was a good day out to keep the kids occupied. Would go again!

We were pleased to find this place. Free parking with a nice play area and the farm animals to look at with our 18 month old grandson. And the added bonus of a 20 min walk from there to a viewing area with benches to watch the planes landing and taking off from Birmingham airport at close quarters which he absolutely loved.

Great family friendly place to visit especially if you want an experience that is easy on the purse strings. Free parking, free visit around the farm and a lovely picnic and play area for you to enjoy with your family and children. As it is close to Birmingham Airport, the added view of planes leaving the airport at a close distance is refreshing to see.

Lovely little farm with free entry which is nice for once, cafe onsite selling hot food, drinks and ice creams. No dogs allowed in actual farm area. Park for kids with enough to keep them entertained. About a 20 minute walk to Birmingham airport to watch the planes set off. Free parking.
