   Someone from hear gave us a tip time of 08.00 arrived at 07.30 to be told no unloading until 10.00am a warehouse that does not tip until that time really ! half the day has gone fld was ok. toilets are porterloo outside thats was nasty why don't companys provide facilities for drivers that are clean only reason I gave 2 stars was because office staff were helpful

   Starting at this company thinking it’s a newly set up contract and site it will improve over time. Well a year and a half later enough was enough, some great people there. It’s just doesn’t seem to be going the correct way very mismanaged from the top they just don’t seem to know what they want and how to action on it. For ever changing the importance of areas what to do first. Where to put things etc. Still early days but seemed to me like working in the 1980’s. The working environment isn’t the best either.

   Just had a pallet of tiles delivered that I ordered yesterday. It was here earlier than expected which was great. Tony was extremely helpful and great to talk to. He unpacked and carried the tiles inside rather than just dumping them on the driveway. Thanks Tony!

   The "John K Phillips Group " isn't actually a place of tourist interest, it is actually a industrial warehouse and distribution haulage company. Other than that it seems to be a fairly well established & professional company that always seems very respectful regarding the local community, and as I am local to the area I can confirm that I have never heard any negative views about the way they conduct their business. Very logical and methodical work structure, clean, tidy & well organised.

   Poor company to work for and drop you in a shot. Alarm bells should have been ringing when the interview is short without references taken and no driver assessment for class 2 driver job. On first day very short induction and not job training. A shift starting at 7am can have you waiting until we’ll after 9am to get loaded and leaving the yard due to the poor system in place. Truck are very old and some office staff will ask you to use a defective truck rather than call out the engineers and repair people. Starting pay is only £9 per hour for the first few Months before getting a rise to £10 per hour. They will train you for the ADR however will claw the money back from your wages weekly.
