I was in W. Hamond of York on Saturday looking for a ring. I had already tried several jewellers with no luck but Mark found the most beautiful ring, that fit perfectly and at a good price. He was intuitive, helpful and patient and listened carefully to what I was after. Fantastic service, Mark and many thanks.

What a wonderful shop, in a beautiful and historic gem of a street. So many fabulous items of jewellry, both classic and slightly alternative. Jet and amber are this jewellers speciality and the pieces they have are just stunning. I bought some silver and jet earrings and they are lovely and just what zi wanted. Staff are welcoming, and knowledgeable about their products. Extra special thanks to Rhi who served me, who was extremely professional, friendly and very helpful.
This store has such a beautiful collection!! Lots of classic gem pieces and some spooky things to match the Shambles vibe. Mark was extra pleasant and helpful when picking something out and purchasing!
Mark was most helpful in April in the York store. Unbeknownst to my partner at the time, they chose their engagement ring. Many months later, and via a temporary Haribo ring at an Ed Sheeran concert, we got engaged. The real ring arrived shortly after and this weekend I was able to surprise them with the very ring they had chosen months earlier. Many thanks to Mark in store and Poppi in the office for their help and support.
Lovely little shop! Everyone was so warm and welcoming and are a treasure to the store. The staff Jake and Ollie were really kind and offered great advice and help when I was buying a new necklace chain. I loved finding out about Whitby Jet and will be back soon- hope to visit the Whitby shop asap!
I wanted a very specific ring and called in at your store in The Shambles. The young lady behind the counter was very helpful, unfortunately she was interrupted by a very rude older lady. When I repeated my request she told me there was no such ring. She seemed more concerned with sending an email than helping a customer. The young lady found my ring online ( the one that didn’t exist) but unfortunately it was out of stock. I would suggest the older lady put more effort in to customer service with a little less attitude. Deeply disappointed in my customer experience.

Excellent service from Zara on multiple occasions. I ordered my finances ring back in 2019, great service through ordering. We quickly realised it needed resizing & Zara handled this quick & easy for us, with no extra charge. Then recently the stone came loose (through damage at work), I got in touch & Zara confirmed they could repair it. We returned the ring & stone, to get the ring repaired & back with us in a couple of weeks. Again at no extra charge. Thank you very much for making a very happy lady in my life & we will certainly be back.
