“Mark was most helpful in April in the York store. Unbeknownst to my partner at the time, they chose their engagement ring. Many months later, and via a temporary Haribo ring at an Ed Sheeran concert, we got engaged. The real ring arrived shortly after and this weekend I was able to surprise them with the very ring they had chosen months earlier. Many thanks to Mark in store and Poppi in the office for their help and support.”

“If you like real gems and magical jewellery this is the place for you. They offer a bespoke service of high-end stones and precious metals. It's really easy to get carried away. I visited with my partner/fiance and we went away and compared prices and quality at jewellers at Meadowhall the quality of the stones and uniqueness of pieces at Ogdens was far superior. As for the price, it's comparable. If you want to buy run-of-the-mill jewellery that everyone will buy then go to your high street store ( and you'll still pay a lot for it) if you want quality stones and high-end metals that are special then Ogdens is worth a visit.”

“I was looking for an eternity ring for my wife. I dealt with Max from the Berry’s shop in Stonegate York. From the outset Max was professional, knowledgeable, courteous and extremely helpful. He helped me choose a ring, incidentally made by Berry’s, and made the whole process a breeze. What’s most important is my wife was thrilled and although slightly too large Max arranged for the ring to be sized properly. All in all I cannot find fault with my experience and would highly recommend Berry’s, and Max, to any potential buyers. They also have a superb range of watches but at the moment I am resisting temptation!”

“I was looking for a delicate bracelet to compliment my dress for my sons wedding. Rowan, who served me, was so helpful. She asked whether I had a photo of my outfit and what I had in mind. I was looking for inspiration and she delivered! Choosing four bracelets that were absolutely stunning and within budget I really struggled to choose just one! Therefore, I bought three, two for me and one as a gift for my future daughter-in-law (see photo). She modelled the bracelets for me and patiently looked at which two bracelets commented each other. She was so helpful and I found the whole experience really enjoyable. Also bought some diamond stud earings. A free tote bag finished my purchases. Well done to this store.
