Visited Quirky Metals in there Sheffield workshop yesterday to make personalised wrist cuffs as part of a family Xmas gift. I cannot recommend this enough! It was a brilliant afternoon, something different to and I had so much fun. Jim and Laura are friendly, helpful and insightful. On hand to talk you through the steps, lend a hand and just overall lovely company too! Their genuine love and passion for the craft was so clear in everything they do. If you’re wanting something unique, be that a workshop or a hand crafted metal piece, Quirky Metals is the place to look!

Wonderful work in pewter and copper using natural forms. The clocks are especially cool :)

After first coming across Quirky Metals at the Millennium Galleries Christmas Shop a few years ago, he has become one of my absolute favourites whenever I need something special. As a little girl we made a similar tree topper made out of tinfoil and a silver ping pong ball and it held a special place in my heart. Seeing this beautiful decoration instantly took me back but with quite the upgrade on our version. Obviously we had to have one. It is added to my collection of multiple quirky metals stars and mistletoe, a necklace and bracelet. Jim's talent and craft absolutely shines through in all his beautiful work and pictures don't truly show how gorgeous it is. I've sent his Christmas decorations far and wide, Canada, Scotland, Bristol and Sheffield. The perfect decoration gifts for a new baby, a new home, a first Christmas together, a Sheffield home, a just because, a shop local initiative! Our little angel will survive much longer than our tinfoil version and be enjoyed for years to come. Thank you to you and your lovely family.

Quirky Metals did a wonderful job repairing and restoring 2 pewter cuffs. The cuffs had been from a jeweller on the Greek island of Ithaca on 2 successive holidays and meant a lot to me, but had been told by a jeweller in Leeds that they could not be repaired. The workmanship on both pieces is excellent and you cannot tell that they have been repaired. Before returning, Jim got the pieces re- polished and it is lovely to be able to wear them again. I have also discovered pewter cuffs designed by Quirky Metals and other unusual pewter jewellry in the process to add to my collection.
