Good if the world is ending or you're craving something sweet. I can only vouch for the pastry they sell as it's quite nice and cheaper than Costa. However, the prices for everything else are insane. How is the meal deal here more expensive than Tesco? Especially when it's much less varied. Think of any product and they probably added £1-2 extra to it. Majority of the staff are also quite unfriendly and one was particularly rude and since that incident I've avoided it.

How does a university shop have zero vegan lunch options?

Good offering of essentials for a quick shop on campus, friendly staff

Was disappointed they don't sell paracetamol or ibuprofen. They've got cold and flu tablets so it can't be an issue with not being allowed to sell those medicines. There isn't anywhere on campus to buy simple painkillers. Also feel £4.99 for a meal deal is a bit steep. I can get a cooked hot meal from other outlets for a similar price.

The opening times are not correct. I wanted to take my order from Amazon locker. But they closed it very early yesterday, and now they are still closed. Update your opening times here, you waste people's time. It is irresponsibility

According to signs there is a meal deal for £4.25 - pricey considering it's all pre-packaged but whatever. Got to the till after waiting in a long queue... "That'll be £4.99 please!" because sugar free Fanta/Sprite/etc. aren't in the deal when the sugary versions - which should cost more because of the sugar levy - are. Same issue with snacks - why can you only have some flavours of crisps when they all cost the same? I'm not sure why they have this policy except to fleece first time customers but they need to get rid of it as it's stupid. Rest of the shop is mediocre. Quite a poor selection and slightly overpriced. Just walk to Selly Oak instead for some much better shops.

This Spar is literally one of the most abysmal places I have set foot in. They sell absolutely NOTHING of use, everything is ridiculously overpriced and apparently they think fruit is an Ancient Greek myth that doesn't actually exist. The complete lack of even remotely healthy food is even more disgraceful when you consider it is supposedly designed for students who need to function in exams/essays. Needs to be replaced as a top-level priority. Shuts 15 minutes early every day because apparently they don't actually want any customers and would rather hide behind a barrier than make any money. Since when turning paying customers away when you're still open has been an advisable business tactic I don't know but it's effectively employed in this store. In all, the existence of the store is a detriment to our society and I would arguably rather be impaled on a pneumatic drill than have to look at it again.

It has a small range of products, but can be handy when you are in the area and need one or two little things.
