One of best grill chicken from Bolton town. I would rate it even better than pepe’s. Never had any problems. Fries are fresh and chicken always taste nice.
I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but just a heads-up for anyone considering ordering from Charcoal Pit. We recently moved to the area and decided to give them a try, as we usually order from Mr. T’s or Grillsters. Unfortunately, the experience was really disappointing. After waiting around an hour for our order (which was fine, as the wait time was clearly communicated), the food arrived cold. The chips were stale, clearly not freshly cooked, and hadn’t even been warmed up. No sauces were added despite requesting chilli and garlic on everything. The cheeseburger was burnt and dry, the kobeda lacked any moisture or flavour, and the naan tasted far from fresh. I called to let them know and was told they could send out a replacement burger - but it would take another hour to arrive at around 10pm - and that no other compensation could be offered. When I asked if they could note a replacement for next time, I was told that wasn’t possible. After that, the phone was handed to another person who asked me to repeat the entire situation again, which made the whole experience even more frustrating. Overall, really disappointed with both the food and the customer service. Hopefully they can improve, but I won’t be ordering again.
Best kebabs in Bolton in my opinion. Ive been going here for 30+ years. Although I live across Bolton a fair distance away, I happily make a trip a couple of times a month. Not often you get a takeaway that performs consistently for such a long period of time. Still the same people serving as when I first went in the late 80s
I've been going here so long (about 12 years), that I rarely have to say what I want. The staff just nod and say "Donner naan?" I have branched out lately though, and now rotate between the naan, a donner pizza, and the Kobedha naan. I can't recommend any of them highly enough. I've tried other places, but they pale in comparison.
Absolutely dreadful customer service from the moment we walked in. Burger was like the very cheap ones you get (50p a box type) kebab meat was exceedingly dry almost like it had been cooked earlier and kept hot.... we were very disappointed. Also could not see an environmental health rating in the window.
Man on the phone was rude, argued with me, started asking if I had money when I was making an order, didn’t clarify the price of the order and was overall infuriating and rude. Hundred percent do not recommend this place they probably spit in your food…
Absolutely shocking food cold took an hour and 10 minutes to deliever 3 Donna and chips and pizza meal all were stone cold. And the driver who drives the green car is absolutely shocking at his customer service brings half an order but still demanding money and ino its Ramadan as I work in a Asian buisness myself and they have more customer than he has ever learnt will not be ordering from here again. Also said the delievery driver would bring my drinks still waiting for them
I ordered chicken tenders, costed more than a chicken burger meal but was tiny in comparison too. Was expecting the bigger fillet tenders not some asda frozen ones. If you order from here beware they do not use genuine stuff it was my first time too what a dissapointment! The fries were horrible too!

This place is discusting come after waiting a hour and half and it was cold hard and old you can tell they keep the last night's chips and chicken and reheat unhealthy and unhygienic it's appoling would not recommend AVOID...
