Very difficult to get information, either from the website or from the staff in person. The staff also don’t seem interested and a bit rude.

Visited today and found staff very rude. At both the watersports and bike place like no one actually likes there job. First off booked to hire 2 pedalos but when we got there at our time slot there was only 1. After waiting 45 minutes for the slot anyway was made to feel like it was our fault that they cant count. Anyhow resolved that we had 1 pedalo and 1 row boat, then asked who would like a life jacket so we said just give the kids one then arsily said "well every1 needs a life jacket" like i dont understand why it was an option if its a compulsary piece of equipment. Then went to walk round to cycles accidently walked in wrong entrance so was told to go in the other entrance... which is not a problem... our bad... until we turned round and then it was followed by "obviously cant read the big sign" when pulled up on all this .... was told "well weve had this all day".... not my problem we are your customers and you should be happy to help or atleast pretend to be.... anyhow put us off visiting again next time we will look elsewhere

Hired a Laser Pico sailing boat today. Very fair (cheap) pricing. Buoyancy aids included. Able to swap passengers in the boat during the 90minute hire period. The staff were ok but could have been friendlier and more forthcoming with information.

Arrived on a weekday having tried to contact the centre by phone three times the day before without success. On arrival we were told that sail boats need to be booked or there would be a long wait (hours) and that other craft would only be available in over an hours time. Now that’s difficult to accept when you have tried to book, the place seems deserted, the paper sheet of bookings is empty and there are plenty of staff around. It felt like we were simply an inconvenience to the staff rather than paying customers. In the end I gave up on my hopes of sailing and the children used the open kayaks. It is quite expensive, but on balance it’s a fun activity for half a day. I just wish there was a system of on line booking and a proper price list on line. (Asking customers to fill in a contact form isn’t good enough).

Tried calling multipletimes to ask for information but no one answers the phone. We were sick of trying to book a kayak or canoe session so bought our own inflatable Kayaks. Turned up and asked to use the lake with our own kayak and wrre told yes not a problem, its £11 each which we were prepared to pay but were then told you need your own life jacket. We asked if we could hire them amd they said no because people have previously stolen them... I offered to pay a big deposit to ensure they were returned and the jobsworth woman still refused saying they only had enough for their own equipment hires. It was a monday and they had rails of they not being used. We got in the car and drove off. They lost out on all the fees we would have paid now and for the future as we will NOT be returning. The customer service is non existent so they are not getting a penny of my hard earned money.

I must have been mistaken as it turns our at Rother Valley Watersports & Activity Centre freedom isn't free. If you'd like to enjoy some nature on your own paddle board, you'll need to pay an £11 'launch fee'. Outrageous. We went to pay this and were told we needed life jackets. Despite having over 50 they wouldn't loan us any 'in case our customers need them'. However, you're at max capacity and you have many left... Honestly, terrible terrible. This place desperately needs new management and refresh on their ethics.

Once you get booked on to go...you can have a great time on the water. Would've given 5 stars but trying to book let's this place down.

If you want to go and enjoy some paddle boarding without spending an arm and a leg DONT GO HERE! £11 to "launch" you paddle board off, £10 for vest! And jobs worth staff who don't really care for you just having a good time but just have to follow "policy" (a slippery slope) they will tell you there are signs with all this info, but only if you visit the water center. And if you think you can just go on there without paying then the paw patrol will be over in their speed boats telling you off!
