My wife and I visited the store urgently needing wound-closure plasters. She was holding a towel against her hand, so it was obvious we needed help quickly. St Helens had sold out so we asked a staff member if she could call the Prescot branch to check their stock so we wouldn’t waste time travelling there. She said she would, then returned to tell us that Prescot was closed and that they shut earlier than the St Helens store. After checking Google myself, I saw that Prescot was listed as open until 8pm, so we drove there—only to find they were also out of stock. We ended up wasting over 30 minutes. It was disappointing that St Helen’s didn’t actually call the Prescot store and gave us incorrect information about their opening hours. This experience added unnecessary stress at a time we really needed reliable help. It’s also disappointing, considering what the product is that both stores didn’t have any in stock and we ended up going to a little independent pharmacy which we will now go to next time instead of wasting our our time in Boots.

I had many visits to the pharmacy side of the shop and they were always helpful but unfortunately can’t say that about the perfume shop and the skin care. My little one had an accident where the perfume got into his eyes in the shop he was crying out loud, the girls who were at this isle stood there chatting, no one bothered to ask even what’s happening even when he is keep on saying something got in to my eyes. I went to the girls with the crying child to ask if I can wash his eyes anywhere the answer I got was to go to Costa nearby because they don’t have a toilet, really, I don’t believe it even a tiny bit. If it was for me to use the toilet I would have never asked for this, but even after exposing what had happened with my little boy no help. In the rain I had to take my child who was crying out loud with pain to the shop near by to wash his eyes. Unbelievable! If in real the shop doesn’t have toilet even for the staff I pity them!

The main google search needs to show pharmacy opening hours to be different than store operational hours! Presently it is not clear, causing wasted journeys! Staff within store at present are less than helpful. Newer and younger team members cannot be bothered, are rude and unpleasant to communicate with. Asking a question you are told “over there” with a generalised point to a vague area.

Came in a few weeks ago in January with my mother for some over the counter tablets for her. The pharmaceutical staff member with short red/orange hair asked my mother questions about her age and then refused to sell it to her (didn’t ask anything about medical history etc). As we were walking away she was laughing at us at the top of her lungs with her pharmacy coworkers. Disgraceful behavior. Went to the tesco superstore pharmacy right after and the pharmacist had no problem selling my mother the very same thing. Very professional and respectful.

Booked a pampering/make up tuition session with a lovely lady Julie on the No7 make up counter for my friend (a more mature lady) this was a christmas treat to show and explain how and why to select the right items to cleanse and prepare her face before patiently taking the time to show how to chose and apply the correct make up for her skin .... Julie was fantastic and very informative and my friend was amazed at the difference each step made with her beauty regime she looked very glamorous by the end of her session a big thank you to Julie No 7 and Boots for making my friends day so special ...... so impressed we have booked to go again highly recommend

This store is joke been calling all morning , tried calling other departments, and through the general enquiries and nothing . I’m trying to get medication which they should have ready for me. Not one member of staff can pick up the phone ?? Not one to leave a review but I’ve had enough quick to take peoples money but can’t sort there customer service . What is the point in having a phone line if you ignore it .

Tried to have my flu jab here and to redeem a Bupa private health care voucher. The pharmacist wasn't very nice at all and told me that I couldn't use my voucher because they are to busy and are booked up until the end on November. Probably for the best because I wouldn't have trusted her with cello tape never mind a needle, she was very rude.
