Attended a wonderful wild swimming and writing retreat with Travel Matters. Location was stunning and the hotel was comfortable and clean. The program was well thought out, with the activities being well run and still allowing for plenty of time for reflection in between. The size of the group was perfect - big enough to keep conversation interesting but small enough to gel as a group and keep things intimate, which in turn really helped in the activities. I would highly recommend Travel Matters and hope to do more with them in the future.
An absolutely wonderful retreat. Superb teaching and a gorgeous location and Hotel. Brilliantly organised by Karen Simmonds whose attention to detail and care for everyone was second to none! Doon Mackichan was inspirational in leading our Creative Writing session and had helpful and nurturing tips for all. We also had a lot of laughs!!! A total tonic! Highly recommend!
Excellent 10 day trip to Iceland. Monika was given a tough brief to organise a 'garden leave' trip at short notice in peak tourist season: she put a lot of effort into understanding what we wanted - and really delivered. Very helpful travel agent. Travel Matters compiled an excellent itinerary for us in Australia and New Zealand. We tinkered with it a bit and suggested a few changes, which Travel Matters were happy to make. They made all the bookings, and provided a very helpful handbook with all the details. They also helped us to find seats together as a family when we were unable to do so ourselves on-line. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.
I had a great time at Travel Matters' swimming and creative writing retreat in Scotland. The activities, the group, the accommodation were all fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed myself whilst learning how to swim safely in cold water in the most beautiful surroundings. A great success!

Karen organised an amazing writing and wild swimming retreat in Scotland which exceeded all expectations. Beautifully organised in a comfortable lodge with delicious food provided by a chef and a stunning view of the Loch. Would definitely go again!
