Extremely disappointing and stressful experience. I booked a package holiday through Wowcher, fulfilled by Travelolo. Shortly after booking, I discovered that the flights provided were poor options and I was told I would need to pay £129 per person to change them. This was despite the same flights being available directly on the Ryanair website at a much lower cost. I felt pressured into paying inflated upgrade fees with no clear justification or cost breakdown. When I later asked to cancel the package, I was told it was “non refundable” and “non cancelable”, even though package holidays are covered by the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018, which allow cancellation subject to reasonable fees. Travelolo has still refused to cancel the booking or provide a transparent explanation of charges, despite multiple written requests. Instead, I was redirected between email addresses without the issue being addressed. Overall, this experience felt misleading, unfair, and far below acceptable customer service standards. I would not book with Travelolo again and would advise others to read the terms very carefully and be cautious.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Travelolo after purchasing two Wowcher vouchers for a Berlin Christmas Market trip (22–24 December) at £139 each. When I redeemed the vouchers, I received a call from a Travelolo agent who claimed there was only one flight available, departing in the evening and from the furthest airport from where I live. This was simply not true — I had checked flights myself just before the call and could clearly see multiple options, including from Stansted, the closest airport to me. I was then pressured into accepting a completely different destination (Hamburg) on different dates (29–31 December) and told I had to pay an extra £158 on top of the £278 already paid. The agent was extremely pushy, repeatedly telling me how “good” the deal was and how “lucky” I was, without giving me time to think or consider alternatives. It felt like classic pressure selling. To make matters worse, I later realised the arrival airport is Lübeck, not Hamburg — meaning additional travel, time, and cost to actually reach Hamburg. This was not clearly explained during the call. I find it unacceptable that a company can sell a deal at a fixed price and then demand extra money because they cannot deliver what was advertised. I have had a similar situation with another travel company before, and they handled it professionally by issuing a refund instead of pressuring me to upgrade. After reading other reviews, it is clear this is not an isolated incident but a repeated business practice. Customer service also appears to be non-existent once payment is taken. I would strongly advise others to read reviews very carefully before booking.

If I could give 0 stars I would! I was gifted a 3nt round trip to Amsterdam via Wowcher flying from Manchester in March 2026. However, I have looked at reviews afterwards and expressed how I would just like a refund due to mistrust in the company. I spoke with Sam over a week ago who gave me the flight details (he was very abrupt and did not let me speak much!). The flights were terrible, we would be leaving in the evening on the day going and flying back first thing on the last day. If we wanted to change flights it would be £60pp. I requested a refund from Sam but he said he could only do a credit note. Felt I had no choice but asked if I could call back and comfirm after speaking with the person who had bought me the wowcher. I called back a couple hours later to which Sam suddenly came out with I can get a full refund now and I just had to email the address they told me. Well, I emailed them straight away, got their auto reply which said they'd respond within 48hrs. It's been 2 weeks, I've sent another email and still nothing. Avoid avoid avoid! Terrible experience and still no refund!

Purchased a voucher through Wowcher and goodness me I will never recommend this company or wowcher even to my worst enemies. I bought a flight + hotel to Amsterdam and then the agent kept trying to upsell me a different package for an extra £99 per person, I told them no and keep the original booking and to be told an hour later that it is not available. The agent then proceeds to offer me discounts from 99 to 89 to 79 and refused and told me to contact wowcher for a refund. Wowcher Customer Service is the worst as well no one even replies to you and had to call Travelolo and speak to customer service. THERE IS NO WAY TO GET A REFUND

I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience booking a mini cruise to Amsterdam through Wowcher/Travelolo. I paid £180 in advance as a surprise birthday gift for my partner, only to later be informed of hidden fees of an additional £60 in order to proceed with the booking. These charges were never made clear at the point of purchase, which is misleading and unacceptable. When I requested a cancellation and refund due to being unable to afford the unexpected extra cost, I was refused. Instead, the company attempted to “negotiate” the fee down — first to £50, then £40, claiming this represented a loss to them. At every stage I made it clear that I wanted a refund, not to pay additional hidden charges. To date, Wowcher have failed to comment or assist, and I am still yet to receive a refund. This conduct is not only poor customer service but also a breach of consumer rights law. Under UK consumer protection regulations, customers are entitled to clear, upfront pricing and the right to a refund when a service is not provided as advertised. Refusing to return my money despite failing to deliver the promised service is unlawful. I will be taking this matter further if it is not resolved promptly. I strongly urge potential customers to avoid booking with Wowcher or Travelolo. Their lack of transparency, hidden costs, and disregard for consumer rights have turned what should have been a special birthday gift into a highly stressful and disappointing experience.

Extremely disappointing experience all round when booking with this company. We booked a holiday to Budapest through a voucher code. We were disappointed initially as the flight times meant that the holiday was below the contractual minimum that Travelolo was offering, so was told I needed to pay extra to make this happen. Regardless of the contract, I sent this money over and agreed to these new holiday dates. Didn't think anything of it, but then when we came to check in, we were made aware that check-in was unavailable due to the holiday being booked under Travelolo's name. Due to timings and the flight being on a Sunday, we were not able to contact anybody about this and therefore weren't able to check in. Since then, the Travelolo team have been next to useless in resolving this, and it's taken a grand total of four phone calls and five emails to even get somebody to seriously speak to me about it. We've been told that a refund won't be available but haven't been given a reason why, and suffice to say I'm extremely disappointed and annoyed at Travelolo for essentially taking my money without delivering what they promised. We additionally made travel arrangements, exchanged currency and made other preparation so have lost out on even more money. My advise to anybody considering booking is to look elsewhere and I will for sure be avoiding this company whenever booking a holiday. This seems to align with other reviews on here, and I wish I'd of read them and taken them seriously before booking this holiday.

Absolutely awful experience i ended up not using the hotel they booked (It definately should have been emphasised the hotel was a nearly 3 hour journey from the airport) and paid for my own hotel. Had to pay a extra fee of £89 which was ridiculous in the first place. I booked this trip for my birthday hoping for a nice time but instead i was left crying and having panic attacks in another country. Talking to the agents is like talking to a brickwall, no protocols in place to escalate or file a complaint and apparently managers are only available through email??? Emailed them and no reply. Terrible customer service, do not use this company or buy holidays from wowcher its better to plan and pay it yourself.

Awful company one great big scam. Got deal off wowcher and originally stated a price for hotel + flights then rang me to say there was only 1 seat available on the flight so I’d have to pay an additional £170 along with £20 each when we got to the hotel. Also said there will be no public transport available due to the time we are supposed to be arriving so we would have to pay an additional £80 to get to our hotel. Rang to try and cancel and they are nothing but rude! The man I spoke to on the phone just happens to be the “manager” when I rang to ask to speak to the person in charge.

Honestly the worst company, rude/ unhelpful staff, , do not use! I purchased 2 wowchers for weekend trips to Venice. This was advertised as each wowcher applying for a shared room so 2 had to be bought per couple. This included flights, accommodation and hand luggage guaranteeing a min 40 hours in venice. I did this, so purchased 4 in total for £485 on 26th August. Once I redeemed the voucher I was contacted by travelolo and paid an additional £240 to alter flights to maximise my time in Venice. They had scheduled initially for me to leave the UK at 6pm returning 8am Sunday. I was sent my confirmation of flight, ATOL Certificate and hotel voucher. This included confirmation of my hand luggage. When the time came to check in I was advised by the airline that hand luggage wasn't included and that I would need to pay a further £255. I contacted travelolo and sent follow up emails to them with their evidence. I contacted easyjet who advised that merchants should specify hand baggage when booking flights and travelolo didnt do this, they only provide a cabin/ handbag as standard. Travelolo have called and told me that it is not their job to check flight baggage policies and therefore if I want hand luggage I should pay the airline even though they advertised and confirmed via email that this was included in the price. I contacted wowcher and asked for them to step in to resolve this or help for me to be issued a refund. They contacted travelolo who've said I should refer to the airline policy and said no. Wowcher just keep referring me back to them My bank have had to step in to assist and will be opening a dispute on this payment on the basis of false advertising. A bunch of crooks only after your money who will not resolve things should they go wrong. Beware

Absolute scam. Advertised on wowcher as £329 per person to Disneyland Paris. Confirm booking which is non refundable. Get a call to confirm flights. Get a scripted load of rubbish that public transport does run at the time our flights are. Goes on to say it will be an inconvenience etc. Suggests a different flight without stating any extra cost. Asks for long card number and says I have to pay an extra £118. Get a confirmation email today for the hotel. Additional fees are payable for your room on arrival of 23.07 Euros. Not much money but it’s like you are trapped and already spent the money, £787 at this point and it’s like, what next? If I could cancel I would but not even offered any cancellation insurance either. My advice. Don’t bother.
