   Highly recommend African Marathons!! I had the best experience running the Two Oceans Marathon this year. African Marathons arranged the entire trip to perfection. Rob, Clyde and the team were exceptional, they literally thought of everything. The hotel was perfect, a calm relaxing setting, I loved the whole experience, the race, the people, everything!!! I booked some onward travel after the race with African Marathons, and I can say without a doubt it was the best holiday I have ever had, lasting memories. I can’t wait to book my next trip to Africa and will definitely be booking with African Marathons…..TOM 2026 (not comrades yet!! :) Thank you Rob and Clyde Claire Buckley

   Following fabulous Two Oceans trip in 2023 I have been on 3 more AM trips - all outstanding. Highlight has to be my first Comrades finish on 8 June 2025. Africa Marathons were superb - they looked after everything so well which meant I could focus on the running. In addition to the smooth organisation of the trip - great hotels with check-ins & logistics all sorted for you and travel organised to avoid the chaos that can go with Comrades - Rob and Clyde looked after me so well straight after the race. I felt safe, well looked after and not having to worry about anything other than recovery and celebration. If you’re thinking of any sort of running / safari adventure in Africa, I would strongly recommend going with Africa Marathons. Just back from a fabulous trip with Africa Marathons taking in Two Oceans ultra marathon 2023. The service, planning and attention to detail were all outstanding - this makes such a big difference. You can book with these guys knowing they will sort everything for you, eliminating worry and allowing you to focus on race prep! Africa Marathons definitely get what runners want and they deliver ... if I can get body right for Comrades 2024 I will 100% book with these guys. Thank you Rob and Clyde

   My friend, Clare, and I ran ‘back to back’ Comrades in 2024 and 2025 with Africa Marathons and each time it has been a wonderful experience. In 2024 many of ‘Team Africa’ went on a 5 day safari holiday at Rhino Ridge post Comrades where we really got to know each other so when we returned this year it was such a thrill to meet up with familiar faces and some new ones as well. I can highly recommend Rob, Clyde and Amy to well and truly look after you if you join one of their marathon adventures. All the worry of getting to and from the various venues is taken care of. They go out of their way to help everyone relax and just enjoy your event. I’m hoping to join them again for 2027 Comrades which will be the 100th anniversary of the event.

   Joining the Africa Marathons team was one of the best decisions I’ve made as a runner. They take the stress out of what would otherwise feel like an overwhelming experience. They organize the transfers to/from the airport, accommodation and the trip to the expo to collect race packs plus group dinners. This means you can fully focus on the race that lies ahead of you and the adventure you’re about to have! The support throughout the trip was outstanding. The team was always available, full of energy and encouragement, and genuinely passionate about making sure every runner had a great experience. Whether it was advice on race day prep or just a smile / hug when you needed it most (this year was at 58km!), they were there. What really made it unforgettable, though, was the camaraderie. Runners from all over the world came together, and by the end, we had a special bond. Sharing meals, cheering each other on and celebrating at the finish line — it was everything you hope for in a running community. If you're thinking about running a marathon in Africa, don’t go it alone — go with this group. It turns a race into a once-in-a-lifetime experience… unless like most of us, you sign up for more!

   The Team at Africa Marathons are an outstanding group of people who care deeply about those on their tours. My first Comrades Marathon experience with the A. M team was one that I will cherish forever. They took care of all the logistics. All I needed to do was remember my raceday shoes. I will absolutely travel with Africa Marathons again in the future and highly recommend them to anyone considering an event in SA. Rob, Clyde, Amy and Mandla - THANK YOU. You guys are absolute legends.

   The Comrades Marathon in South Africa had been on my to do list for a while and I'm so, so glad that I decided to go with the Africa Marathons group. The complete 6 day itinerary, organization, communication and the always available support was excellent. There was nothing that Clyde, Rob and the team hadn't thought of and they exceeded all my expectations. If someone is considering running the Comrades Marathon in 2023 I would recommend going with Africa Marathons in a heart beat.

   An excellent company that provided a first class experience. They are very passionate about what they do and delivered top quality service, advice, planning, updates etc. The Comrades Marathon is totally unique, an experience which you cannot replicate and will never forget. Africa Marathons made sure you could focus on enjoying the adventure while they did all the work behind the scenes, going above and beyond. A great team, I would highly recommend Africa Marathons.

   A great group marathon trip arranged by African Marathons to run Comrades in Durban. It was well organised from booking through to the event itself. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and I had a great time. Comrades is a tough event and it was good to have the Africa Marathons team on my side, sorting out the logistics so I could "enjoy" the challenge and the sense of achievement it gave me.

   I can't find enough superlatives to describe how wonderful my Comrades 2022 trip with Africa Marathons was. I initially contacted Rob unsure if I could even run that far. With the Africa Marathon Team's meticulous planning and regular email contact over the year before the trip, everything was so smooth and nothing seemed too much to ask. Race entry was made so simple - all I needed to do was run a qualifying time. It's safe to say that delayed flights and missed connections during our outward journey threw up some challenges, but Rob and Clyde came into their own and demonstrated one of the many reasons why being with this team was the very best way to run Comrades. Without a doubt, I wouldn't have finished the race (or at least not in a good way!) without the support of Africa Marathons. We could be princesses for the duration of the trip, knowing someone was doing all the thinking for us, taking care of our transfers, and keeping us safe. I began the trip nervous, and left feeling part of a family. With a medal too! Be warned though, I think doing one race with Africa Marathons will snowball into an annual affair!

   I just got back from a trip with these guys to South Africa for the Comrades Marathon 2022. Exceptionally well run and great value. The Africa Marathons guys are all super nice and highly responsive. The Comrades is an unmissable experience for any long distance runner and going through Africa Marathons as the official race partner means they handle all the logistics, including your race entry and moving you around on the day, which can otherwise be a daunting prospect for non-locals. Will use them again when I go back for the up run!
