Stopped for a quick carryout on our way to the station. This place was *bustling*, we got fish and chips, and a veggie burger. They were fast and friendly, and the food hit the spot.
No wonder why so many bad reviews…After a 5.5 hour journey from Mallaig I felt very hungry before I jump on the coach to Manchester. Guess what. Found this attractive and inauthentic shop…Ordered a fish and a cheeseburger..The cheeseburger was alright although didn’t had any flavours at all but the fish was absolutely scandalous…If felt like it’s been sat in microwave for hours and when I had a bite it was so watery and hardly could taste the fish itself..I wanted so much to send that back and get my money back but my coach was about to leave and didn’t had time at all… The worst £14 I ever spent and from now on I’ll make sure I’ll read the reviews before joining a shop…
Awful takeaway food to be honest. I tried their pizza crunch - literally just deep fried pizza dough. You wouldnt taste the tomato, cheese and what not topping of a pizza. I ordered their macaroni cheese as well - by far the worse I have ever tasted in my life. Service is good though very friendly staff, store is cozy. There is a bench to sit and wait for your order. but food in here is just not good.
Used to be legendary, this place… back in the Scott brown days. Had a smoked sausage supper around 7pm. The chips were all brown and chewy and overcooked… looked like they’d been sitting there for hours. The server was really friendly but I won’t be back because I’d rather have a decent poke a chips.
Where do I begin the chips were cold, half of them had big black bits on them or were green. It looked like they gave us the scraps to be honestly and 3 medium chips was over £17. The cheese had no flavour neither did the garlic sauce. Up there with one of the worst chippys I’ve ever had. The staff weren’t particularly friendly either. Honestly just avoid and go somewhere else.
£9.80 for a single sausage and small bottle of irn bru !!! Honestly flabbergasted and having had a few beers I must have not hidden it well. Not pleased at my reaction of How Much ! ... paid and was good enough food but wouldn't be back. Sad as was a regular stop off on way to train after night out.. ive either been really drunk or the priced have sky rocketed .
£4.50 for this tiny thing. I wanted to try a deep fried mars bar as never been to a Scotland before. I never knew it would be a miniature version. Never again.
Robbing b*****s. Went in one night around 10pm whilst heading for the train. Sausage Supper Chips & Gravy 1 can of coke. £18. Chips were cold and hard. Avoid this place like the plague.
£10 for half pizza supper and a can of pepsi. Asked if I wanted it fried I said no. Got it fried anyway. 2 layers of chips in the, at very best, medium sized tray. Scamming drunk people or commuters running for a train.
