Went for a girl's night and we had a great experience. I was given some wonderful recommendations for Christmas cocktails and every suggestion was spot on. I especially loved the Bailey's cocktail, it was absolutely delicious The service made the visit even more enjoyable Alba is a star, I'II definitely be coming back!

I visited Amore Restaurant this past weekend and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was cozy and very welcoming, perfect for enjoying a relaxed Italian meal. Our waitress Alba, was outstanding. She was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. She took the time to explain the Christmas menu and gave excellent recommendations, which made choosing our dishes much easier. Her suggestions were spot on, and everything we tried was delicious and well presented. Overall, the food was flavorful, the service was excellent, and the experience felt special. I would definitely recommend Amore Restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Italian food and great service. I’ll certainly be coming back

My first time here and it was for a family meal. We had a choice of christmas set menu, cost dependant on the number of courses you had, and the A la Carte menu. Both had a wide selection which catered for all our tastes. The pasta dishes were delicious and the steak looked succulent and very well prepared. Overall the concensus was very good food indeed. Our table booking was late, just after 8pm, and by this point the restaurant was full. This timing seemed to cause a bit of confusion with the waiting staff as the server who took our order ended up at a small table adjacent to us having their meal before ours was served. When ours arrived the staff didn't know who's was who's. We were told, initially that certain drinks weren't available. By the time the drinks arrived my wife had seen the requested bottle on the bar and on asking the drink was provided. The restaurant itself has a nice feel and atmosphere to it. I would certainly return and the observations about the staff are merely that. In no way did anything detract from our evening. A service charge is applied to the bill and this is mentioned on the menus.

Staff were super friendly and the service was great! Sadly, the food wasn’t probably the worst lasagna I’ve ever had.

Birthday Dinner at Amore – A Mixed Experience We recently visited Amore to celebrate my mum’s birthday, a detail I had informed the restaurant about when making the reservation 3 weeks prior. Upon arrival, the venue was extremely busy, but we were pleasantly surprised to be seated 15 minutes early. Ambience & Seating The restaurant was quite compact, with tables placed very close together. This made seating rather cramped and navigating around other diners and staff difficult. There was minimal room on the tables for plates and glasses, and we had to plthe drinks menus on the floor behind us just to make space. The restaurant also felt overwhelmingly warm, which added to the discomfort as all windows were closed. At the entrance, guests are required to squeeze past others in the queue just to exit — a dedicated entrance and exit would be a more practical solution as would opening windows. Service Our server was likely Alba, as that was the name listed on our receipt. She took our drinks order promptly and was friendly and helpful throughout. She gave us time to review the menu, was great about substitutions, and offered helpful recommendations for dishes. That said, the pacing of the meal was problematic. There was very little time between courses, and our main courses were brought out while we were still eating our starters. Rather than returning the mains to the kitchen, we had to quickly finish a few mouthfuls of starters and hand our plates over to make room. This disrupted the meal and left us too full to enjoy our mains properly. We mentioned it to Alba, who apologised and explained there had been a mix-up in the kitchen, but the issue still impacted our experience. We also felt rushed during the main course — we were asked if we had finished less than 10 minutes after being served, which made it feel as though we were being hurried through the meal and out the door. Food The food itself was a mix of highs and lows. The starters were served hot and fresh and were generally very enjoyable. Among the mains, the Chicken Parmo and Pollo Amore stood out as the highlights — both were flavourful and well-cooked. I ordered the Pollo Amore with the chorizo sauce on the side; although the sauce tasted more like a cheese sauce than chorizo, it was still tasty. Unfortunately, the Penne Amore didn’t hit the mark. My mum found the pasta too al dente for her liking and ended up swapping with my partner, who had ordered the Cajun Chicken Pasta. While she preferred the Cajun dish, the chicken in it was not great either — lacking flavour and overall not very enjoyable. Dessert & Final Impressions Due to the rushed service and the early arrival of the mains while we were still finishing our starters, we felt uncomfortably full and unable to properly enjoy the rest of the meal. As a result, we didn’t stay for dessert and instead had to take the remaining food away. This was disappointing, especially on a special occasion, as we had hoped to enjoy a full, relaxed meal. Missed Opportunities As this was a birthday booking, we were disappointed that there was no acknowledgment or gesture to mark the occasion, especially since it had been mentioned at the time of booking. A simple recognition would have gone a long way in making the evening feel more special. Overall While there were some positives — particularly the service from Alba and a few standout dishes — the overall experience felt rushed and uncomfortable. The cramped layout, poor course timing, and missed opportunity to make a birthday celebration memorable detracted from what could have been a much more enjoyable evening. With a few operational improvements, Amore has the potential to offer a far better dining experience.

It is one of the best Italian places to eat in Glasgow. The atmosphere is really nice here. The spicy chicken wings are yummy, and the coffee is spot on. The service is very good and the staff is very friendly and polite.

This place presets very well but the service is poor. Went with a party of three and the staff do not cover their area. This resulted in multi waiters coming and asking if we ordered and in one case one person went to the toilet and she ordered again for us. Nearly 2 meals. No check back on the meal despite one not being good. It’s very poor experience. The food was not the best also but price was reasonable at least!

Really lovely restaurant, friendly and efficient staff, and great food! Super convenient to the Moxy hotel where we were staying. I ordered the margarita and the gnocchi dish and my husband got the double pepperoni pizza. The drink was great - strong without being all tequila. The gnocchi were cooked well and the buffalo mozzarella was amazing. The only small thing is that I think the double pepperoni pizza could come with even more pepperoni to better fit its name - but I'm not deducting points for that. Definitely recommend!
