Used to be a lovely chippy but the last one we had wasn't very nice. Sausage tasted off & so did the hamburger. Chips and gravy were good though.
Genuinely the worst fish supper I’ve ever had. The fish was 80% burnt batter. 20% soggy fish. The pizza crunch was a pizza soggy.
Hi sooo disappointed on our stk pie supper tonight we buy most wks and tonite was poor no gravy no peas but mostoff all the portion was poor hardly any chips and the smallest portion of stk pie ever to pay nearly 11pds it was awfull because we come there regularly we know wot we always get an I never been so disappointed the staff must know wot they r serving totally disappointed
I ordered pizza and chips through uber eats. The pizza was ok, not mind blowing but good enough. The chips, however, were the soddiest moistest chips I have ever eaten in my life. Moreover, they were not salty at all and they had this weird undertone, as if they were fried in a week old oil.
Ordered a chicken supper, half way through eating it noticed it was still raw and blood juices coming from it, phoned the chippy and the lady said they don’t actually cook the chickens in the shop just fry them, and sometimes a chicken leg can be pinky with bruised blood & just stick it in the microwave for a few minutes.
Shocking. I phoned up to ask if I could have my 2 orders sent to my house at the same time because I had made one order and forgot to add something so I then placed another order 2 mins apart and asked if the lady could keep my first order until my second one had come and so they could be delivered both to my house at the same time and was told no because she “can’t keep any orders back” like what they are both coming to my house absolutely ridiculous.
Ordered my mother in law a special fish prompt delivery, she was very impressed, in fact it was that big she couldn't finish it.
Absolutely beautiful and fresh food. Very fast service and the kindest, friendliest staff you could ever meet
Bought two delicious steak pies and chips with gravh and peas which is areal homemade steak pie with plenty of stew and crust and was amazing would highly recommend it definitely be back here again its abit expensive but well worth the money
The battered haggis torpedo from this chippy definitely hit it's target. I've never come across sweet chilli haggis before but as haggis is meant to be spicy it works works really well. Like most chippies where the battered works are sitting on standby in the hot plate containers, if you're interested in a sweet chilli haggis you might need to ask for it to be made up, but quality takes time. Washing it all down with a tin of Bru 1901 (which I think is better than actual Bru and I'm so glad they made the decision to release the vintage stuff in cans) I really enjoyed this chippy. The staff are also good chat as well.
