When the old owner had this takeaway it was the best. Now it's the worst in Midlothian. Absolutely disgusting pizza. No topping, flat and tasteless. It should not be named Pia's anymore. A waste of a good chippy.
Ordered food yesterday for delivery at 7.10pm. Arrived at 7.35pm and food was lukewarm. Fish batter wasn't as crispy and fresh as usual. Very disappointing.
Placed an order to collect, pizzas and kebabs and a wrap... one of the pizza's came wrong and wasn't something we could make do. Called them back and they rectified the issue and delivered a fresh pizza within 20min. Super helpful, super apologetic and sorted.
Placed an order at 5.45, it was eventually delivered at 7.30. I phoned them to see when it was going to arrive and they told me they were busy...well can't they tell people that they are going to have a long wait instead of just taking orders they can't cope with. When it arrived it was cold, the chips weren't cooked properly and they were chewy and the fish was tasteless, it was disgusting. We couldn't even eat half of it and the rest went in the bin. I won't order from them again, the delivery guy couldn't understand what i was saying to him
My husband and I ordered dinner tonight. The online order process was very easy and the delivery was incredibly fast. We ordered a side order of donnor meat, which was really nice. The meat was hot, tender and tasted fresh. We also ordered a 12inch pizza and chips. Both were very undercooked. I had to cook the pizza further in my oven for 10 minutes, as it was impossible to pick up a slice without tearing the whole pizza. The base was very soggy, and had too much thick, raw cheese. The chips were very soft, soggy and there were pools of thick oil in the bottom of the chip pack.
Best Chip shop in Bonnyrigg Dalkeith Area. Been going strong for 30 years. I can't do nothing but praise this place and staff. Fast efficent and excellant food. Put's Gigi's to shame. Even the Pizza's are Miles better. Thanks ;)
2 large sausages and chips with cheese £9.80. Daylight robbery!!! Only used them as driving past. My usual chips shop for same, taste better, is 2.80 cheaper, is hot and batter is not rubbery. Rude staff too Will never return, DO NOT GO HERE
Ordered a large fish supper which was almost unedible Fish was tasteless and batter rubbery as if it had been kept warm for sometime Chips were OK. Don't think I will visit again
Thought I would give them a chance, never again. I ordered 2 pizzas, one ham and pineapple, the other pepperoni, onion and mushroom. The ham and pineapple had hardly any ham and pineapple, the pepperoni onion and mushroom had no pepperoni at all, topping for both mostly rubbery cheese and not much else, Tesco would have been better and less than the £21.20 charged. Never again.
Omg this takeaway is brilliant in every single meal. Bananas fritters 1portion I managed to give between 3 kids its so big and good. Their pastas are cheap big and DELICIOUS!!! KEBAB wrap I'm usually share with my husband is so massive, burgers heaven I use them for a long time never ever let me down with standard or delivery time. Absolutely number one. Today I tried potatoes and amazing another hit- massive portion will eat tonight and finish for tomorrow lunch. I definitely recommend this place.
