Always our go-to for takeaway food when visiting. I am so fussy with chips and theirs are always really good. Great choice of food. Friendly staff too.
Excellent, fresh fish, properly filleted (and skinned). Very good batter. Great chips. Friendly chap behind the counter. Definitely my chippy of choice in Portishead.
Ordered from pizza picante for many times and every time i am impressed! The pizza was hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. Perfectly crispy crust, generous toppings, and got ready really quickly. Friendly staff made the experience even better. Definitely my go-to pizza place when im in Portishead—highly recommend!
Ordered delivery, always enjoyed food here, always delivered quickly. Never any complaint, until today. Ordered fish and chips have many times before. The minute it was delivered the overwhelming smell of the fish was something else. Really very strong off putting smell. The fish itself was awful not any type of fish i have encountered in my lifetime. Unable to eat, the chips were horrible and stank of this horrendous fishy smell Basically ruined my Saturday supper and put me off ever coming back here again.
Used this takeaway twice in two days despite living just around the corner for twenty years. The food is simple but well cooked, the service friendly, welcoming and polite. The pizza is very good. I recommend Picante without reservation.

Terrible experience!! Used plenty of times before, probably 2 x a month. But tonight driver could not find our home and after 10 minutes of being late, I rang the store and the guy hung up on me...so I then had a missed call from driver, which I called and asked how long he had been waiting, I said I would only accept delivery if food was still hot. He arrived and it was just warm, so I offered £20, he rang his boss, who hung up after saying he was too busy! So I refused delivery and guess what, 10 minutes later he calls back saying boss will take the 20...haha NO WAY, TOO LATE. Will NEVER order again.
Yum. Forget dominoes, pizza Hut et Al this is proper pizza! Thin Base, lots of topping and generous size. They also do fish and chips, which are soooo tasty. They don't deliver to nailsea for some reason, but they are easy to find, park and get your self! They do deliver to Portishead, Clevedon and around.
