The staff was very friendly, the pizza a bit tasteless, but fresh. Appeared like a clean Restaurant, kinda ok
Fish cooked fresh so was okay, chips were really overcooked and awful, smoked sausage was sludge, tasted like 80% fat, more like pate’ than a sausage. Never again
**DANGEROUS** Bolognese pasta had sharp shards of hard plastic throughout that was choked on. The dish it had arrived in was not broken anywhere. Contacted Aldo’s to advise of this dangerous incident and requested to speak with the manager. I was told he was too busy to discuss. What manager of a restaurant is too busy to deal with a health and safety/ environmental health incident? They offered a discount and then full refund however this was not my concern. My biggest concern is that this can happen to someone else who may not be so lucky. If this has occurred in their kitchen, then many of their dishes may be contaminated. Sounded like they couldn’t care less, therefore I won’t be ordering from them again and hope no one else is affected.
The food was good, the service was fast. I collected the order, It's on the main street with 1 parking place. ( not the shops fault) but worth bearing in mind if your collecting. Well worth a visit though. The haggis fritters were delicious!
Despite ordering on the app I waited ages for collection. The “banter” between Aldo & a certain customer was offensive & this business would do well to remember not all customers share certain views. I felt intimidated & will not be returning. Just put a Union Jack & Rangers FC flag outside.
Really dissapointed from my visit last night, bought a fish supper and I don't think I've ever had a fish as dry in my life. Also the older gentlemen seemed to find it appropriate to be moving the food around with his hands within the heated display, thankfully the server used Tongs to serve my food.
Just a great bunch ..love going in there ..always so friendly and brilliant chippy food
