This is an exceptional restaurant where passion comes through in every element. From the team playing their favorite songs on vinyl records, to the intensity of the preparation that goes into each dish. The description blew us away every time with how many ingredients and processes were used to create the incredible flavors. Still, although they clearly take their craft seriously, it’s also fun and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Stunning decor and incredible service! Price point quite steep for Edinburgh landscape. Fresh and seasonal local ingredients used, and intelligent combination of Asian and British cuisines. Black garlic, miso, and kombu a bit too omnipresent to my taste as I found the food very difficult to digest and to finish. Ingredients chosen are very rich so make sure you go in on an empty stomach. Condita is a true place of art: whether in the decor or in the dishes that look like jewels. Impressed by the creativity of the team on all fronts! I’d like to particularly highlight the intelligence of the booklet given at the end about sources for ingredients and wine. You can tell Condita is a true passion project! P.S: the dessert truly stood out!

Undoubtedly the best Michelin restaurant in Edinburgh. Every course was delightful, beautifully plated with layer after layer of flavour. Not a single bad course, consistently excellent from start to finish. I had the vegetarian menu and it was clear just as much thought and effort has been put into it as the regular menu. This restaurant has one problem though. The toilets are terrible and totally out of place with the restaurant. Not particularly clean and just not nice to be in. Floor to ceiling vintage food magazine covers glued to the wall including around the urinal is just not fresh at all! Please please rip them out and renovate. My wife felt the same way about the ladies. Even student bars have better toilet facilities.

What words come to mind when I think back on my experience at Condita? Heart, Desire, Innovation, Thought, Perspective, Playfulness, Intelligence and Beauty to only name a few. From the moment we arrived, the warmth we felt from not only the staff, but the ambiance, the restaurant itself, felt alive. Our hosts made us feel like family instantly, kindly taking our coats and seating us at our table (1 of only few) and discussing how our tour would unfold, from how the menu worked to a history of the wines they offered. Nothing was spared to give us the best understanding of just how much care was put into cultivating an amazing opportunity to eat, drink, learn, absorb and appreciate everything Chef and his team were there to do. The food, was unbelievable, each course was hit after hit, easily the best food I’ve ever eaten (and I’ve been to many places and tasted much). This menu was incomparable, and the wines were phenomenal accompaniments, taking each dish further than I thought possible. I’ve never had a better experience, and the next time I’m in Edinburgh, Condita will be where I’m found. Bravo to the team, you far exceeded any expectation that I may have had, you hit the land running and burned the all of the shipsb. But that’s enough from me.

A world class dining experience from the off. Condita serve a surprise tasting menu priced at £160 that really puts you in the trusted hands of the small team of chefs headed up by Tyler King. The food demonstrated layer upon layer of flavour that was extremely well balanced and really got you thinking. Sometimes taster menus have dips in them between dishes but each course here was fantastic. The interesting wine list is compiled often with organic and/or biodynamic farming methods in mind and small batch made where possible. A real food lovers paradise.

While I'll eat anything, my wife was a little nervous about the tasting menu as she sometimes has texture issues. However, everything was just simply fantastic. I hope people don't look at pictures of food others may have posted of the "surprise tasting menu" and go in to enjoy food and experience. As one can expect from a Michelin starred restaurant, everything else (decor, service, environment, etc.) were all superb. I was surprised it was such a small and intimate restaurant with only 6 tables. Otherwise, it seems they are constantly changing their decor with the menu to utilize local ingredients. The only other thing I would recommend is getting the wine pairings (we got 5, a champagne, 2 whites, and 2 reds). They paired quite nicely with the progression of food. I do wish they offered a smaller portion wine tasting, as 5 full glasses is quite a bit, especially with the 2 cocktails we had before. Although, I usually like to take pictures of food for scrapbooking, the only photo I took was of the 'menu' and enjoyed the ephemeral nature of the experience. Anyway, a solid 5/5 and would highly recommend.

Delightful tasting menu with fun, inventive and more importantly delicious dishes. Lots of variety and interesting ideas and thought put into the dishes. Attentive and pleasant service. Well worth a visit

This was my first ever experience at a Michelin-star rated restaurant, and it was incredible! The staff was very responsive, even back to the e-mail correspondence it took to finalize our reservation. It's a cozy restaurant. There were only three other groups dining with us, so the staff was very attentive to when we needed more water or if we had questions about the various dishes. We were served the standard and vegetarian menus, and EVERYTHING was delicious. Each of the wines were perfectly paired, too. It was fun to play with how each dish looked, smelled, and tasted. I'll remember this night forever!

Absolutely outstanding tasting menu with first class quality food and wines. The staff were friendly and extreme knowledgeable, it was hard to pick a favourite dish as they were all first class with a great amount of work and effort going into the preparation of each. The menu was fun, it was in picture format and included a picture of an elect from each dish, this sparked plent debate as to what the different courses would be. I would highly recommend and will most definitely be back.

We ate here last night and it does definitely deserve its Michelin star. We opted for the vegetarian and pescetarian tasting menu with wine paired to each course. If I was to taste each element out of ten then it would be this: Food: 10. Wine Pairing: 10 (the best ever). Staff: 10. Decor: 5 (the place could use a good interior design architect - speak to me if you want advice on this). We've eaten in dozens of Michelin star restaurants and some have disappointed but Condita surpassed my expectations. The food and wine were overall amazing. My complements to whoever paired the wine with the food. You nailed it! It's a real shame about the decor and lighting. The place is really crying out for a good designer but it takes nothing away from the amazing food and wine.
