   Thank you to the wonderful team at Cuba Direct especially Elio Cruz who took over our booking in Jan this year. This holiday of a lifetime was booked in July 2019 and moved approximately 5 times. Elio made sure all our bookings were still in place, he had to switch our lodging in Trinidad but other than that all our bookings were confirmed. We stayed 3 nights in Havana at a lovely Residencia, Santa Clara, the rooms was lovely and the staff very friendly. We moved to Playa Larga where we stayed with a host family, in a wonderful room, with a lovely view, the hosts cooked a meal for us both evenings and it was absolutely delicious. Next we stayed in Trinidad where we had the whole of the top floor to ourselves, a front and back terrace, a breakfast room, and a room with bathroom and two bedrooms. Once again the hosts were so friendly and made suggestions for our stay. They cooked a traditional meal on our final night. At both places breakfast was included, we had eggs (cooked your way), bread, fruit (amazing selection pineapple, mango, melon, banana, papaya), orange juice, home made preserves, tea and coffee. We paid for evening meals but so reasonable. Finally we stayed in Veradero all inclusive for 4 nights, where we took a catamaran trip, went snorkeling off the boat, met dolphins, and visited Cayo Blanco a beautiful white sand, light blue sea island. It was an incredible holiday, we would love to visit again sometime and we would definitely use Cuba Direct again. I realise that the Cuban people are very proud and want you to love their country and therefore they are very friendly and we were thanked several times for visiting. You don't have to worry about covid either with 95% of the population vaccinated and a policy about wearing masks that everyone follows the cases are very low.

   We are not very experience travellers and this was our first time using an independent travel agency. We were apprehensive about everything really - booking a tailor made trip with six different stops, would we get the trip we wanted, would we feel safe transferring from one place to another, would the B&Bs be a reasonable standard, would we feel we had seen the real Cuba etc.? Well everything was wonderful, our Sales Consultant, David Gonzalez listened, answered our many, many questions and gave us confidence. It felt especially good to know David is from Cuba so he really knew how best to advise us. The paperwork for the trip was clear and we had plenty of time to make the final payments. We were filled with excitement about visiting this amazing country. Emilio in Havana again gave us confidence and arranged a much recommended guided walk plus classic car drive around Havana. We had fabulous accommodation - mainly staying in Casa particulares which was a perfect way to see Cuba,(all were great quality, diverse, spotlessly clean, great breakfasts, great staff/families and had air conditioning), transfers worked smoothly and in themselves provided a great way to see Cuba. We were joyously overwhelmed by our visit, we felt safe everywhere and everyone we met was warm, welcoming and helpful. We would recommend Cuba Direct to everyone and taking a multi location trip - it really is worth it. Cuba is wonderful with much to teach us all. Thank you very much Cuba Direct!

   I booked a tailor made self drive trip to Cuba with Cubadirect. I found everything they did for me was efficient and relevant to my needs. We had a fantastic trip travelling throughout the whole of the island. CD arranged the flights, accommodation, car hire, everything. They suggested an itinerary which to the most part was ideal, a couple of tweaks would have made it perfect. We mostly stayed in casa particulares which was a perfect way to see Cuba, not in the hermetic seal of 5* hotels. At the major centres we were met by the local reps and when we had a problem returning the car, Senor Geraldo San in Holguin was instantly on the case and gave the self drive company a suitable kick to get them sorted. The paperwork and invoicing for the trip before we left was all clear and with plenty of time to make the final payments. I felt we had an excellent service from York Ortiz at CD and would definitely recommend them.

   Great Holiday! I was planning to travel independently with my hubbie but after some research decided to book with a local expert. Tip: do 3 or 4 destinations if possible, price should be similar and try the Parisien instead of Tropicana! :)

   I cannot say enough good things about Cuba Direct. The travel consultant I spoke to was super helpful from the onset and throughout – it was also great to be able to speak to someone who was actually from Cuba! I was really happy with all the casas we stayed in, would highly recommend to anyone who’s unsure about booking a private homestay, I’d say its definitely worth it. Probably one of the best trips I’ve ever been on. Thank you Cuba Direct!
