Can never ever fault the food here, it’s my go to takeaway. Lovely staff and fantastic food.

Regular customer, portion sizes have got considerably smaller, prices have gone up, and the food was well below standard. It was chewy, barely any meat, more chips than anything and just totally disappointing. Spent almost £25 and never received prawn crackers, which have ALWAYS been included with orders over a certain amount. The driver had no change and wasn’t too happy about going back to get it. Really disappointed this time, unfortunately we won’t be returning.

Obviously only going on my own experience but a solid seventeen yes 17 out of ten. They are always happy to add things on request, which for me is usually green chilies. Best beef chow mein ever and the Mongolian beef is also fab.

I tend not to take too much notice of food reviews as I think it’s down each persons taste, however it is important to know things like if the service was good, value for money and quality. But I will give my honest opinions on all things. Firstly, this was a large order for a family of fussy eaters and children with food sensory issues. We ALL thought the food was very well cooked, very tasty and plenty of it. The quality of the meat and veg was great and everything was full of flavour. The packaging was great and all the food kept warm while travelling out of town to bring it home. They never forgot an item(which we have issues with most places we go) the service was friendly and helpful with the specific requests we had. We ordered online which was very easy to do and found the menu was extensive and definitely value for money. The food was ready when it said it would be and we also had 10% off with this being our first order which helped. All in all we will definitely be back and highly recommend this takeaway.

Ordered our food at 8pm. Still no sign by 10pm. Finally got through to someone. Was told it would be 10 minutes. An order showed up however it wasn’t ours. Tried multiple times to get hold of the restaurant to no avail. Ended up having to attempt to eat the order delivered however the chicken was absolutely rancid so it all ended up in the bin. 10/10 would NOT recommend.

3 HOURS 15 MINS WAIT ON DELIVERY 05/02/22 Ok put in an order @ 17.35 through just eat and got a delivery time of between 60 and 75 mins. By 19.45 I was getting a little annoyed. I called the restaurant who told me the food would be with me within 10-20 mins. 45 mins later still no food. Called the restaurant to be told the delivery guys got lost and would be 1 to 2 mins. 20 mins later the food arrived. So in short I COULD HAVE DRIVEN TO AYR AND BACK WITH A 15 MIN STOP OFF IN THE TIME IT TOOK FOR THE PEONY GARDEN TO DELIVER OUR FOOD. IF YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE THAT LONG TO DELIVER THEN DONT TAKE DELIVERY ORDERS. TELLING PEOPLE YOU CANT GET A DRIVER DOESNT HELP. As far as the food went it was pretty good ( although as you would expect it was warm at best ). If you do order from here then make sure you collect your food. Or your dinner may become your breakfast.

We will never use this place again (despite having used it for a few years now). It's gone downhill rapidly and ever more so recently. Orders getting later, items being sent wrongly or forgotten completely and todays order arriving one full hour late, soggy and cold food is the last straw. Apparently they had no drivers! Maybe an idea not to take orders if you have no drivers? Either way not happy and WONT be back. If it were possible to leave zero stars, I would.

Assume under new ownership as now called the 'New Peony Garden' and sadly the standard has dropped massively. Not only did the food take 2 hours to arrive (was told 45 mins when ordered) but when it did it was almost inedible. The 'duck' spring rolls were just soggy pieces of batter with no meat and a minimal bit of veg (atleast i think it was veg) and the sauces on the main courses had started to congeal and looked as if they had been sitting around for hours. Had to throw the majority of it away. Will not be ordering from here again.

We have been loyal customers here for a few years but the service has gotten worse over time. The final straw was our recent wait of 3.5 hours for a delivery. Portion sizes have also reduced and quality poor. Missing items on delivery is also a frequency. We no longer order from here, too much disappointment.
