As a regular customer, I can highly recommend the quality of the food and the excellent service. Chris and his team are always attentive, friendly and welcoming. Next to look forward to is the Christmas lunch and happy atmosphere

Visiting Edinburgh from Kent, discovered this lovely pub and day 2, enjoyed the food and atmosphere, went there the next night for food and again food was amazing! Especially the fish and chips, it was huge! Staff were lovely and friendly, definitely coming back on our next visit ⭐️

I hate leaving less than stellar reviews, so I'll start with the positive. It's a beautiful restaurant and my wife loved her fish and chips. However, the experience was lacking — sad since it was the first restaurant in Scotland we visited. Our server took our order. The food came out fast enough. Unfortunately, my steak (about the most expensive thing on the menu) had absolutely no flavor and was incredibly difficult to chew. My wife took a bite and literally had to chew for a whole minute. I wasn't going to complain because I didn't want to be seen as a "difficult American." What bothers me is that I never even had the chance to raise issues if I wanted. A young lady (not our server) brought our appetizer. Our server (a gentleman with light colored hair) brought our food, and then we never saw him again. He didn't check back to ask how our food was. He didn't check to see if our drinks were empty. He didn't send anyone else to check on us. I even had to get up and go to the bar to ask for a takeout box and our check. I always leave tips since I used to be a waiter — even in countries where it's not expected — but I didn't bother this time. He took our order, brought our drinks and main entree, and that was it. Disappointing for our first Scottish dining experience.

Lovely little pub/lounge we booked in for a family birthday meal. I ordered the Mac cheese and garlic bread, was absolutely delicious. Was a big bowl of it so I couldn't finish it all. Staff are lovely and friendly. Toilets are really nice and clean. Will definitely be back for more family meals.

Had a great time here Staff very friendly & helpful Menu had plenty of choice & was pub classic style Prices good Food mostly delicious apart from the peas with my scampi & chips A bit dried out so chewy Would have preferred mushy peas as offered with the Fish & chips Overall good meal & night out Will go again

We were there on Saturday the 28th of January for my wee Grans 91st birthday. The staff were fantastic throughout, the meal was lovely with clean plates all round and we were lucky enough to be seated in the beautiful conservatory. Thank you for a memorable time. We will definitely be back. Xx

Visited this pub for a pint and some food. It is small inside but they have a massive back garden with tables and a conservatory. The food was nice and fresh and not expensive. We will come back !

Great wee pub after my long walk from South Queensferry. Great Guinness at a even better price. I was sitting in their massive beer garden. Definitely be back
