   The first time ive been in here in about a decade. We decided to drop in for some lunch as we were celebrating my 40th birthday. Young lady who served us was super friendly and the food was out of this world. I was properly torn with the menu as there were so many great looking dishes. Portion size was pretty big so regretted ordering sides. Unfortunately I was driving so didnt get to sample any of the bar options but I reckon we will definitely not be waiting another 10 years to visit.

   Really lovely place, the outdoor patio is so well kept and perfect on summer nights. Alongside their beers on draught, there is also a wide range of craft beer and specialty German lagers! What made the night stand out is how great and friendly the staff are. Every one of them is so lovely and approachable and they genuinely appreciated myself and the group of friends I brought, shout out to Artisteas who handled our table of 10 professionally and efficiently. Had a really lovely time :)

   First visit with friend for lunch. Loved comfortable rustic feel of venue. Terrific staff . Very friendly and helpful. Though not vegetarian, i had a vegetarian stack.Which consisted of a large baked slice of sourdough bread topped with mushrooms, spinach, sundried tomatoes and i added a poached egg it was delicious but only complaint, which was quickly remedied, was that it was a bit on cold side when served. Attentive waiter dealt with that swiftly. My friend had Fish Soft Tacos which he very much enjoyed. Coffees were excellent also. Whole package coming in at just over £30 inc. 3 coffees and a beer. Situated very close to Queens Park on main Pollokshaws Rd, This is a place i would love to try for evening dinner.

   Great wee place. Staff are always super friendly and attentive, food spot on, they love dogs , great selection of beers. Only suggestion is they need some better wines ☺️

   Was asked by staff member if I/we would like a blanket as we were seated outside I/we graciously accepted the offer….was not informed by staff member a £10 deposit is required for each individual blanket that automatically goes onto your bill. Result being I was overcharged £20 as the staff member I paid the bill to did not refund the x 2 deposits for the blankets which had been returned to staff.On returning to the Stag & Thistle on Pollokshaws Road Glasgow today 29/9/2022 to be refunded and point out the error’s made by staff I was not offered an apology throughout the process!It’s a pity as the food was good and both myself and daughter would have recommended it highly to family and friend's.Poor basic customer service.

   Haggis nachos and halloumi tempura Salt and chilli fries Steak pie Chicken burger with peanut butter and jam Overall experience was good The waitress who served us was lovely and great! Couldn’t fault the her! The waitress seemed rushed off her feet as she was the only one serving it seems. Would have given it 5 stars but the food was on the salty side for me.
