Easy to shop, easy to scan & pay, although I had an issue, there was a friendly staff member at hand to help. Plus veggie hotdog to much! What's not to like?

I visited the IKEA store in glasgow for the fist time today. My likes were the big space it never felt crowded although it was busy. I really liked the difference room layouts which were helpful to see what a chosen item might look like in your home. The prices were reasonable better than I expected. My dislikes and the reason for 3stars and an issues that would dissuade me from returning. With the exception of the catering staff which were lovely. The other staff walked about as if they were in a different time zone. None spoke or acknowledged your presence even when we pointed to one and said "lest ask him because we are going round in circles" perhaps we had our cloaking devices activated in error. At the check out queue after several attempts to get the yellow elf to acknowledge that I was looking for help she eventually decided to speak to me. I'd like to know about getting goods delivered Iasked. Β£29.00 delivered where she retorted. So how do I order and pay for the goods I've never been here before? Back their point of sale it tells you where to collect. No I can't collect,im 70 and it won't fit in my car which is why I want it delivered. It was all I could do to hold her with my steely gaze she clearly felt I was wasting her time. Back there point of sale follow the instructions. The point of sale need renamed point of additional stress to dissuade purchaser. I put the numbers into the screen just like an argos order ok that bit was easy. Then choose delivery Β£40. Hmm elf said Β£29. Stuff it im stressed now accept Β£40. 00. After several more accept decline answers the screen said "order accepted check your phone" next customer. NOW I had to stand in the noisy warehouse trying to negotiate the payment screens and the bank security texts. At last I head back to the check out to pay for the couple of bits I picked up between the entrance and checkout. You pay take your receipt to the gate scan the bar code the gate opens and you are free to leave. Not so fast I want to ask the elf why I had to pay Β£40 and not Β£29 for delivery. That's because you paid at point of sale you should have paid at collection aggggg. Beam me up somebody anybody

Really poor restaurant set up. Went in for tea and coffee, have to queue to scan receipt each time to use machine, I had 3 cups, then have to queue at a different area to get milk for my drinks. Drinks are not warm enough either. Won't be back. Sometimes simpler is better, just make my drink

Good range of goods and furniture and you always find something extra to buy apart from what you go for. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. The only cloud on our last visit was organising a Hertz van to self deliver our goods, the app. wouldn't let us or the staff to order one so we had to arrange our own van hire. But, the staff were as helpful as they could have using the rules and policies in place. You can't order in advance or pay for stuff to pickup apart from on the day if they can't deliver on suitable days for you. Won't stop us going again, one of those things

I was coned by IKEA in Glasgow. Went to IKEA to buy new kitchen and was advised by their designer that IKEA installation team will do complete refurbishment of kitchen from electricity, plumbing, tiling to the skirt-boards, and off course installation of cupboards itself. Paid IKEA for installation, and IKEA installation team deposit for refurbishment. Long story short refurbishment never happened, except tiling which was badly done. Walls were not ready, electricity not finished, skirt-boards not changed, rotten woodwork behind sink not removed and new installed etc... Suddenly installation team start installing IKEA units on unsafe walls and not prepared surfaces. I of course stopped all works and asked IKEA to refund me installation money, or send me new team that will do proper job. IKEA management refuses to refund money, and want to send same cowboy team to finish mess that they started which I will not allow. I spoke with few people and they told me that βSmall Claims Courtβ is way to go and that I am not only one with βIkea installation problemβ. So that will be my course off action, as Ikea dont really care for customer service and customer satisfaction.

Nice restaurant facility. Good selection of both hot, and cold cuisine. Busy as expected on weekends. Only gripe would be, that the hot food, by the time you, purchase at checkout, can be cold.

Typical IKEA restaurant. Quite spacious and equipped with their furniture of course. Limited options for meals. I got the spaghetti and meatballs. Meatballs were fine, spaghetti not really... no salt at all and felt quite heavy in the stomach, so I am guessing it was probably not fully cooked. The desert I got was nice, so no complaints there. Their prices are affordable, but considering the quality I would say this is reasonable. Waiting in the queue is a bit of an issue, as it took us at least 10mins to the front, perhaps even 15mins. Toilets are clean and a nice environment (for a toilet!). Overall, it is fine for someone who visits IKEA with their family and wants to grab something to eat before continuing.
