We visited China Blue for weekday dinner, we made a reservation ahead of time but it seemed like there were still some spaces if you come at around 6pm. We ordered Malaysian laksa wanton and wanton soup (both very delicious - sorry the photos are not all there), and we ordered deep fried sea bass with sweet sour sauce, mapo fofu, and king prawn fried rice!! I would say the sea bass surprised us as they were able to keep the inside moist and crispy outside! The other dishes were also very tasty. Very recommended for authentic Malaysian / Chinese food. Keep in mind you need to phone for roast duck a day ahead so that they can prepare it for you (we missed this but will definitely come back for the roast duck)! Overall very recommended!

It’s definitely worth venturing down the long hallway and up the stairs to the dining room. Really genuine authentic flavors. One of the better wine list for an Asian restaurant in town nice to see. Very friendly and attentive service, dining room could use a little update.

Authentic food, staff were accommodating even if we just walked-in and friendly. The food we ordered were served fresh, hot, and delightful. Great place!

Reasonably priced food. Authentic Chinese food! I know this is random but we always love to order the Thai style crispy chicken dish there it’s awesome! 4 main dishes with rice and tea for only 18Β£ per pax (5 of us ate together) and food was good portion too!

Delicious and authentic Chinese food in Glasgow area. Came back again after our first visit. We especially like the ζ’…θœζ‰£θ‚‰ (pork with salted vegetable) which was marinated well and not too salty. The roasted duck 烧鸭 was good too, although it was sold out when we came the first time. The service staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for Chinese food in central Glasgow.

In for a spot of lunch, why did I not know this placed existed before?? Better value than China Sea. Less busy and not as rushed. Fairly priced. Recommend the salt n chilli spring rolls and breast of chicken curry. Servers very attentive. Will definitely visit again.

China Blue is now my favourite Chinese restaurant in Glasgow. I've been twice this week. I was there last night. They have a 2 course lunch menu and pre-theatre menu. The pre-theatre menu is Β£14.99 for 2 courses. Sadly, they didn't have a vegan option listed on it, so I went for the a la carte menu. I think I the menu is a bit odd if you're not sharing. For example, they offer a bowl of choi sum or kale or aubergine etc for around Β£14. There is no option to have a mix of vegetables. I wouldn't fancy a whole bowl of just one veg. I therefore opted for vegetable chow mein which is a mix of veg such as pak choi and was lovely. I also opted to have an extra portion of noodles because I'm greedy. I'd love it if I could just order the noodles with eg garlic mushrooms and a bit of choi sum, but sadly that's not possible. I'd rather have more mushrooms in the chow mein. The chips were over cooked and mostly inedible this time, but it didn't matter as I was too stuffed from all the noodles. My companion had chicken fried rice which she was delighted with. She also ordered steamed dumplings and was surprised when these arrived that they had been deep fried. She said they were delicious though. The service in China Blue is amazing. At least 4 people waited on our table. They cannot do enough for you. They table was covered with paper table covers which I was glad of when I spilled food all over it. The napkins are linen. The heating was on and it was cosy. Again we were the only white customers. The other diners were all Chinese. Malaysian people also often eat here and there is also a lot of Thai food on the menu. The toilets are up 2 flights if stairs and are a bit run down, but smelled lovely and were very clean. Great food and amazing service. I'll definitely be back.

What lovely people and what delicious food! The waitress went to great pains to persuade me not to order lamb on the bone with dry tofu, as they'd had problems previously with non-Chinese customers finding it too fatty & bony and sending it back. She took a bit of convincing, but I eventually persuaded her that I'd be alright. Glad I won - it was an unctuous, savoury delight, albeit too much for me at one sitting. So I've got half of it sitting in a takeaway tub in my fridge for later. There are a lot of interesting dishes to have a go at - I'll definitely be back.

Excellent food and great service. Average prices. Crispy duck was superb as was the shredded chicken. Staff were attentive and very knowledgeable.
