We had a lovely evening here this week. Service was top notch and food was mostly really good. I had a couple of moans about my dishes but not enough to take a star away. I started with the crab bhaji and my husband had the scallops. Both beautifully presented. The scallops were perfect but my bhaji was over cooked so a bit too crispy and no real taste of crab. However the accompaniments were excellent. Then for mains, my husband had the lamp rump which was exceptionally good and I had the aubergine parmigiana. This is one of my favourite dishes and I always have it if I see it on a menu. Unfortunately, it was mainly courgette and the aubergine was a little too al dente for my taste. I prefer when the aubergine is cooked to a buttery softness and melts with the cheese. I had dithered over having the lamb myself and would have chosen something different if we returned. We were planning on doing so tonight but they are closed on Tuesdays. Despite my small complaints about my dishes, it is an excellent restaurant and as a keen cook myself, I know that sometimes dishes just don't turn out perfectly. On the whole, 5 stars for Service, presentation, atmosphere and food. Just to finish, we both had a mini dessert with coffee which were both perfect in size, taste and presentation.

I'd like to make a complaint about the food. Why doesn't this place have a Michelin star? I can't fault it at all. The venison and steak frite dishes I tried were amazing. Service was fast and the waiters informed and happy. Thank you for making our wedding anniversary special.

Wonderful place! Tucked away with wonderful food and service. We celebrated a milestone anniversary and we were so happy we chose Mason Belles! The staff were welcoming and attentive. We did drinks, an appetizer and meals. They did not make us feel rushed but rather seemed to know the timing. 10 out of 10 would recommend and we will be back!

Stumbled across this little place and immediately knew I wanted to have dinner there so we went the next day. Food was outstanding, scallops were delicious and the flavours were so vibrant. Maple chicken for the main and equally as delicious. Staff were super friendly and inviting, lovely atmosphere will definitely be back.

We booked a table last week, is a fantastic place for dinner. Little hidden gem I think I read somewhere and it's true. Lighting and mood was lovely. The place looks beautiful and cozy . The staff were fantastic, attentive but not over the top in any way. The food was the best I have had in a long time! It was hot , clearly made from scratch and with fresh produce. The menu is forever changing so when I looked it up I found the wrong one .. but that's just because I'm a picky eater, the choice when we were in was brilliant. Price - I will not complain was worth every penny, however the card machine didn't seem to have a tip option so if that's something you like to do carry cash. To be honest that was my only disappoint was I didn't have a note in my purse to leave with the bill. Will be back Our photos do not do the justice that the chef deserves

This definitely is a Hidden Gem. We went for the High Tea but it was different to other High Teas I have had. Instead of getting sandwiches you get a cup of soup followed by a selection of 5 mini items which are found on the main meal menu. Then you get a selection of 4 lovely desserts followed by a scone with Jam & cream. The atmosphere is very pleasant. I will be going back to have something from the main meal that I sampled on the High Tea menu. The young gentleman who served us was very pleasant and courteous. He couldn't have treated us any better than he did. A lovely day out catching up with friends in a very homely eatery.

Very warm friendly atmosphere, my daughter loved her chicken dish, unfortunately I felt my fish dish was disappointing,

The service and atmosphere were both spot on! It's a beautiful restaurant that has a very personal and charming vibe. I would highly recommend the mushroom starter, it is perfectly cooked and paired with a lovely slice of fresh bread.

What a lovely, classy restaurant. The decor is contemporary and charming, situated down a wee close just off the high street in a lovely garden setting. The team were just so friendly and welcoming plus the service was simply excellent. The food was delicious from start to finish - especially the festive Turkey dinner that was cooked to perfection, tasty and beautifully presented. The puddings were also superb - chocolate torte with a base infused with bourbon and caramel sticky toffee pudding. The bill was impressive too - ie. amazing value for money. We were very impressed and will come back to this lovely place. Thanks again.
