(Updated Review 7 September 2025) Unfortunately since my original review I’ve been several times and been very disappointed. Today I went with my partner we ended up walking out after waiting 45 minutes (we just wanted a cake which is pre-made, and a coffee). Staff shortages might be a problem a couple of times, but I struggle to rationalise when it isn’t particularly busy in the cafe and it is at an expected peak time on the weekend. Fortunately there are other nice looking cafe’s around and this is a good excuse for us to try them. I would not recommend this cafe unless you are willing to wait over an hour. (Updated review with picture) After trying for the first time a few months ago, my partner and I have been coming back with friends and family every time we can! It’s a lovely cafe / restaurant. Food is always really nice, good portions and fairly priced. Will be coming back more. Picture shows (weak) latte, regular latte, flat white, iced coffee, 2 x Bakewell tart, brownie and boxed biscoff cookie Other comments: - They do takeaway coffee & food (see packaged biscoff cookie in picture), - Although I don’t own a dog it seems dog friendly (I like that but just for comment) - Nice areas to walk afterwards. The only reason I haven’t gone 5 stars is sometimes it can take a little while to get served (probably as we go at busy times on the weekend!)

Enjoyed our lunch here as the portion size was very generous, using good quality ingredients and very well presented. The service was very efficient and professional. However, the chocolate cake we tried was on the dry side so I was slightly disappointed with that considering the name of the place and its reputation for deliciousness. Overall, I was very impressed with the restaurant which sold a great choice of dishes, catered well for vegetarians, easy parking and very well decorated. I definitely recommend this place and am particularly impressed by their facilities for people with disabilities.

We went for an afternoon tea for my birthday today, the staff didn’t know and still the service was excellent, food was amazing full of flavour and lots of choice. Honestly one of the best afternoon tea’s Iv ever done! Highly recommend! Xx

Very lucky to have this in our village and wish them every success. I have been in several times since it opened for both dine in and take away. The decor is nice and they have a little children's corner. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is great.

Delicious breakfast with each item perfectly cooked and well presented. The café is very attractively decorated. It was very busy but staff were friendly and efficient and no-one had to wait that long to be seated or served. Will definitely be back soon

3rd time in since the cafe opened and I just wanted to say how wonderful the staff are. I had a delicious breakfast this morning and a yummy latte. Reasonably priced, came hot and within good time. The little play area is great for our little ones to keep them entertained while we waited and eat. The cafe is such a great addition to Charfield. Will without doubt be in again very soon. Especially as I only live around the corner. Thank you!!! Ps please ignore the negative comment... let's remember it's a brand new cafe with new staff and they are finding their feet (which they said to us in person and on facebook) so be patient while they settle in.

Charfield has a new diamond! What a wonderful location. Food was great, the staff were welcoming and professional and the overall service was superb. Tastefully decorated and a patio that I imagine will be full all day, every day in the summer. Love it, love it, love it!
